Shine Villas intimidates guests who raise concerns and refuse to resolve matters professionally. ||1) The actual accommodations (e.g., that the company would only be providing 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom (x2) for a 4-night stay and 4 guests would not meet the basic needs of the stay and ample time was not provided in order to request a refund for the stay and find another accommodation that would better suit our needs. Cancellation notice is required a minimum of 14 days prior, but these details weren't shared until approximately 3 hours before the scheduled check-in time.||2) The condition of the unit was not as described in the photos or online. Items were broken, the air conditioning could not be adjusted beyond their designated 75 degrees, the water filter was not updated, the furniture was not good quality and at risk of breaking from being flimsy. ||3) The mattress was extremely poor quality and very hard. I was traveling with multiple disabled combat veterans for a 4th of July event, and had we stayed in this unit with these mattresses our entire trip would have been ruined from the pain caused by the poor-quality mattresses. Even I, without any disability, felt that my shoulder was being popped out of place simply by laying on the mattress, and my spouse said he was considering sleeping on the floor because the bed was causing him so much discomfort and pain. ||4) There was significant noise from the upstairs neighbors well-past 2am, despite there being a quiet time from 10pm to 8am. There was loud stomping and running back and forth until almost 3am which could be heard over the shower, tv, white noise app, etc. ||5) Extremely poor customer service. I was accused on multiple occasions of "extortion" and "fraud" simply for raising my concerns and leaving the property early due to the poor conditions. This is the same experience it seems Shine Villas gives to all of their guests who raise a concern based on customer issues raised via multiple sites, including an F rating on the BBB.||||If you are simply looking for something close to the parks and are willing to accept the risk that if anything happens where youâd need to reach out to their customer service team, youâll likely be treated poorly â then go for it. Found this company via Groupon(which is amazing) and couldn't say no to such an awesome deal. We ended up arriving after hours so the room key was in a lockbox outside the office, no big deal I thought, our villa must be one of these right behind the office. I thought wrong. Inside the envelope was a map, not drawn to scale in the slightest. I had to follow the yellow highlighter to our villa that was about 2 miles away, only God got us there because there was no address to input into my GPS.
Once entering the villa we were greeted with the smell of cigarettes and dirty carpet. Examining the kitchen, there were "clean" glasses with visible residue on them. There were signs telling us how to replace blinds that had a tendency to fall out because they are broken. Moving into the bedrooms the master's comforter was just plain dirty and the bathrooms were the same. The tub and shower had mold and the grout that was once white is now black.
When it was time to check out we followed the list of demands and helped the cleaning staff by stripping all the beds and leaving the sheets by the door. Upon taking off one of the sheets we were greeted with dried blood on the mattress pad. What a great way to end a Christmas holiday? No it gets better.
5 hours after checking out, the security deposit is taken from my account. I get an email saying the during our stay a box spring was broken....false. During our walk through I didn't think to check the box spring so I guess thats my fault. When I reply to the email to dispute this claim I get an automatic message saying I need to send a request to remove my email from the spam list. This is the same email address that we have been using to converse the last 2 months. How am I on the spam list now and not then?
All of this to say don't waste your time or money on this dump. If I could give it zero...
   Read moreStayed at this place for a week and wouldnât advise anyone to stay here. We stayed in a 2 bedroom which had mattresses that woke us up everyday with backaches. I also didnât like the fact that anytime I opened the front door , there was a camera aiming directly inside invading your space. I think it would have been ok to have a camera but there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that a camera should be staring INSIDE your villa. I was told there was a basketball court and gaming room which was a lie. I went across the street to the other villas who was very nice and let me play on their court. Across the street also had a gaming room but its only for the people staying there but again they was nice enough to let us in. I was told that the hot tub needed a new hot water tank so that was broke but didnât even have a sign up. The fitness room is very very small( the size of a bathroom) and dirty. It had dust n hair all over treadmill and baseboards as if it hadnât been cleaned in months. The water in my shower has an egg smell. Itâs VERY smelly. I had to clean n spray air fresheners all day. I never smelled water like this. PLEASE DONT DRINKâď¸Also there is NO ONE to call for ANY problems. If u need extra towels, u canât call.
