Food is average for Mediterranean, but here is what happened tonight -
I ordered through DoorDash. Restaurant screwed up the order, and sent me a dessert, rather than my $85 order. They recognized it, and called another "Dasher" so they told me when I called in later (mind you, no one ever cared to inform me).
I got the second order and it was missing a gyro (sigh). I called in and got a woman named Ronya (sp?). She was nice and said she would make the missing food and throw in something else. She said to order the cheapest thing possible from DoorDash and she would throw it in the bag. I did that immediately , and called in to be sure she didn't screw this up. Doordash made me spend $12 on food + taxes + fees to get the order placed, which I did.
When I called back, I got a guy with an accent. He was so annoying. He wanted me to explain to him what happened. I told him to speak with the woman (I'm the freakin customer and I'm at work). I kept asking to speak with the woman and he insisted he was the manager. Maybe he's Greek? It seemed like some kind of misogynistic behavior. I mean, come on! I'm not trying to screw you over. The woman realized that a new person at their restaurant messed up my order and they had to deliver the rest later. However, they missed 1 item. A cheap item, but 1 item, nonetheless.
He didn't care, so I went over it all again with him. He said, well, I'll make the missing item and you can come pick it up. I was like, Nooooooo, and I said I've already ordered another order like his coworker Told Me To. He said he'd include the sandwich with that. I told him to also include the extra thing she committed to (that's seriously earned, I mean this was a pain in the butt for me, and it's their fault).
The 3rd Dasher just arrived, and it only had the new order items in it!!!! It didn't have the item missing from the first order, which was the ENTIRE POINT of this order so they could fix it. No other bonus item either for them screwing up.
Wow, is this place incompetent.
If you order from them, just be ready to WASTE your time.
The woman who answers the phone is very sweet though. She reminds me of my Aunt Balkese from Syria who was always very nice to me, albeit she loved to pinch my chubby cheeks (I was a "healthy" eater as a kid haha)
TWO DAYS LATER: I called back in today to see about what went wrong and I was confronted about the review that I left. Fair is far. The woman was very sweet and she really tried to fix this. If that guy would have let her speak to me when I called in, I bet I would have gotten what she promised, fixing their mistake, and I would Never have left a negative review. Note for the restaurant: Let the woman deal with customers and fix mistakes. She has the customer service skills and logic necessary to do this best for you.
I'll try you guys again in the future. PLEASE don't let me down!! I'll come pick it up to try and get the food when it is hot. If it's good, I'd be super happy to update this review and write about how the gyro meat tastes hot and juicy, rather than cold and hard with solidified fat (what I received). I'm only willing to try you again because I could tell that the woman is a good person and cares. She knows I'm not trying to screw you but I just want what I paid for! I need that...
Read moreThe customer service here sucks. They need to understand how to treat people and talk to people specially if they are in a food service industry I forgot my food last night. When I went there, I called them, and when I was letting them know that I forgot my food, the guy hung up on me twice and hung up on my wife. Until my wife finally talk to the guy and he said why did you forget it like seriously you’re gonna ask me why I forgot something things happened. I just came all the way back to the restaurant today to get the food that I forgot and order something else to sit down and eat there for lunch but instead, the same guy I spoke to on the phone last night was being rude So I asked for my refund they said they can’t give me a refund two younger guys were super rude and the older man was telling me to come back and speak to the owner tomorrow , my plan wasn’t to drive all the way there to just get the food that I forgot I wanted to set and eat and spend money here but the way they treat people is not right . I know the owner and nephew Sam but this is the last time I ever come here and I’ve been coming here for years. I will never come back and I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE You want middle eastern food go to ISTANBUL GRILL in Orlando even King of flafel employees go eat there that should tell you everything right there IF ANYONE IS READING THIS REVIEW DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE Go somewhere where you get...
Read moreI've been a regular at this wonderful Arabic food haven for years, and every visit is a delightful journey for the taste buds. From the mouthwatering falafel to the refreshing tabouleh, this place never fails to impress. One dish that has become a must-have for my family is the harira soup. Bursting with a medley of vegetables and an exquisite blend of flavors, it's a personal favorite of mine and my 4-year-old daughter can't get enough of it.
The vegetarian plate is a true masterpiece. Overflowing with freshness, the hummus and baba ganoush are nothing short of amazing. The dedication of the kitchen staff, a group of men who pour their heart into every dish, is evident in every bite.
Beyond the food, the staff's kindness elevates the dining experience. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality add an extra layer of comfort to the meal. As you sit surrounded by the aromas of the kitchen, the traditional music transports you to a different place and time, adding an immersive touch to the overall ambiance.
In summary, this Arabic food gem is a haven for flavor enthusiasts. With its delectable dishes, attentive staff, and captivating atmosphere, it's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that keeps me coming...
