Omg, friends, family, and random internet people.......before staying at the hotel I was ready to complain about the price.
I am sooooo glad I didn't!! "Happy Hour" was the biggest surprise and is included in the price of your room.
Because we normally eat supper sometime between 5:30 & 7:00 anyway we thought we would check in and check out the "snacks".
The hotel actually supplied enough food and enough single components that we could have created at least 1 "fancy" entree (Chicken Alfredo Primavera) PLUS there were other "side" dishes that couple be combine for a fairly substantial meal.
For example, you could couple the backed potato with chili "soup" and either shredded cheese or the nacho cheese like at the gas station.
There were hotdog and buns, nacho chips, and even things like fresh lettuce and tiny tomatoes that could in a pinch be combined with the shredded cheese to make a salad (note: add the chicken and have a salad as a meal)
The sodas and as many refills as you little hear could want were also FREE!! And for those over 21 you were also given a card with a "voucher" for 3 complimentary drinks at the limited bar!!!
Don't drink alcohol?? They were making non-alcoholic versions of the drinks if asked!!
Breakfast the next morning had just as many options!!! Oatmeal + add ins, biscuits and pepper gravy, toast, muffins, danish, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cubed potatoes, and make your own waffles, yogurt, and fresh fruit, plus juice, soda, or coffee were are there and ABUNDANT!
Ok, enough about the food! The husband and I shared a room with a teenage and a 10 year old. There was plenty of room for us all to move around!
The 10 year old, for one reason was really impressed with the nice sized closet that had a huge mirror on it!
Both Queen beds were comfortable and 4 pillows per bed were MORE than anyone has the right to ask for.......it was perfection!!
The air conditioning was terrific. I like a really cool room and adjusted the temp accordingly. By the time the boys were done aying in the half indoor/half outdoor pool the room was MY preferred temp!
The boys enjoyed swimming under the wall to play indoor and outdoors. I enjoyed sitting outside where is was cooler and chatting with visiting family while keeping an eye on them.
Out on the patio area not only were there "deck" chairs, but they had tables with umbrellas and chair........it was so nice for us grown ups too!!
And all the employees were willing to help no matter how wacky the request!
Out of 5 Stars I would give Drury Inn and it's...
Read moreStarting off, this is a newer location, I believe, opened in 2023? But anyway I can't say enough about how nice this drury inn was, we only live about hour and 15 away and came for our sons 6th birthday, he's a lake kid and pools make up for it in the winter, from the moment we arrived we was welcomed in. I believe the front desk receptions name was Becky,I sure hope that's right (checked in on 4/5/25 around 3:30). She was more then helpful in explaining where everything is in good details and getting us close to our other room even with one being a two room suit and other a normal room, we had asked for a pac and play for a our two year old and she beat us up to the room with it after we checked in! Not only that but later that evening we received a little birthday boy bag with some snacks it was so thoughtful and made it so much more special for his trip that a employee got him a gift in his words. This hotel was very clean. Inside and out, it was a very nice lounge/bar area with enough room you could still sit and talk. We got room service from their restaurant downstairs and it was very good and fairly priced for hotel restaurants,Would eat at it again. The pool area was very clean, and the pool could have been warmer, but that didn't stop the kids . The parking lot is good size and had a lot of parking lot lights and was very well light up at night and the surrounding areas are nice and close to gas stations and other shops and food. All in all, we will be back hands down, we have stayed at probably 6 different drury inns all more than once, and this location,is the closest to home, has by far been the nicest and more enjoyable stay. We will be back soon for...
Read moreAbsolutely the best stay I have ever experienced in a hotel. Everything about it was so comfortable, clean, friendly, and impressive. We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary & my birthday, & were treated so well. Both the day & evening staff were extremely friendly, & accommodating. Brian & Julie on day shift, & the evening manager were wonderful. I think her name was Tamara? Everything about the facility was clean, fresh smelling, well maintained, & tastefully decorated. The location was central to everything you could possibly need, from food, to gas, and grocery. With one minor exception, which was dealt with immediately by the evening manager, the building was very quiet. Parking was abundant, and felt very safe. The bed & pillows were luxuriously soft, & comfortable. The shower was large, & powerful. And the flat screen clear & sharp. Room entry couldn't have been easier, as many places seem to have difficulties. Not here! The wifi was strong, as well. And the breakfast buffet was so delicious. The scrambled eggs were creamy, and was offered along with sausage patties, fried potatoes, fresh biscuits, sausage gravy, Belgian waffles, cold cereal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, and yogurt, plus several beverage choices. Most impressive were the 5:00/5:30 p.m. dinner kickbacks which you rarely see in most hotels. Several items were offered, such as nachos, salads, steamed vegetables, pulled pork, baked potatoes, hot dogs, soup, and baked beans. And with a ticket presented at check-in adults are offered 2-3 complimentary adult beverages. How cool is that? Drury is our new home away from home of choice. They really go miles above & beyond to please...
