HWY Express Inn & Suites — Hotel in Lancaster

Wow where do I start I was in Dallas for a family visit and saw this nice hotel off the HWY 35 and Pleasant Run as I walked in the front I saw it wasn't really clean and smelled a little weird I looked over it being it was hot and I was ready to rest when I walked into my room I noticed the phone didn't work AC unit was barely working and the bedspread had smoke holes in them I also noticed the floor was dirty as a 10 year dump truck I wanting to leave immediately I told myself I can handle this until early morning as I was watching television that was so high up the wall I couldn't position myself in the springy beds to watch television (ugh) was very uncomfortable so I sat up straight and noticed a red bug looking at me on the pillow I had been lying on also i noticed a bug that looked like a blood clot just moving I jumped up and noticed another and another and another and another and I call the front desk and told Butterflies' that their was bed bug in their room and to come look and the bugs I killed on the pillow and the bed she came in noticed the bugs herself and was saying something about it being nasty and she been told the manager (Alex) aka AJ or whatever his name to spray the rooms for bed bugs but it was going to cost him 1000 a room she also had some Othro bed bug spray with her and asked me if she could spray my clothes and etc.. I found that kind of strange for her to have bed bug spray on DECK anyway she moved us to room 116 which smelled the same and looked dingy as the first one room 115 that morning I went to the front desk and ask for Alex aka AJ aka whatever his name is of course he wasn't there and butterflies either there was another lady at the front I told her about the bed bug and also showed her the pictures I took the next morning YES!!!! the room still had the smashed bug on the bed and pillows from the night before butterfly' didn't even clean the room or change the sheets (ugh) it was still in the same condition she wrote my name and number down and told me someone will be in touch with me but unfortunately Alex never called people my wonderful people who love to travel like I do please don't go and let the bug eat u up I should have done more research But bed bugs are taking over and hotel are taking our money.....Thanks for letting me share this with the world sorry (butterfly) aka lady at the front desk!!!!!!!||P.S. I've stayed in some questionable places before and I would rate this one a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the skankiest of places. It is well on its way and the pictures aren't deceiving at all. My husband family lives nearby so we chose something a little less expensive knowing full well we'd give up amenities. To run down the list, maid service sucked, towels sucked, towel replacement sucked, breakfast sucked, and the room sucked. Toilet tissue was rationed out hence the bad maid service. I don't like having to go out in the cold in my skippies to run to the front desk and get toilet tissue. We had room 100 which is the ADA room due to my foot injury. Please avoid this room at all costs if you need a disabled room. The bathroom was horrible....it looked unclean...I saw pink on the carpet and red spots in the bathroom best guess was blood, but who knows. Silverfish kept me company when using the bathroom and also while taking a shower. I went to the local Walmart to buy toilet seat covers, sanitizer, towels, pillow, snuggie and extra socks. So each of these items points to one unclean area of the room and a person can guess the other issues....

Booked a one night stay here (so glad it was only for one night, otherwise I would have had to check out early and get a refund). The phone did not work, the tv remote did not work, and the refrigerator had a horrible smell inside. Since the phone did not work, had to walk down to the front office to stress my complaints. The lady at the front desk changed the batteries to the remote and stated that she would send someone to fix the phone and clean the refrigerator. When I gt back to the room, the remote still did not work. I called the font desk from my cell phone this time to let them know that the remote still did not work and that no one had came to fix the rest of the problems. When I visited this motels website, it stated they had an indoor pool and fitness center. There is not a fitness center and the pool is outside. The breakfast was not that great (cereal, muffins, and pastries). No one ever came to make any repairs. I bore it through the night and vowed that I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!
