EZPAWN — Local services in DeSoto

Went here with a setups of instruments worth roughly 300$. All that happened was that they took each of my items to the back of the store by themselves, came back and gave a random ludicrously low price each time. They offered 30$ for a 175$ electric guitar, and COMPLETELY rejected my acoustic guitar offer because “It had no strings”. I look at the wall next to the cashier, and guess what? Literally every one of their instruments THEY are selling, WERE NOT STRUNG. When I first walked in and showed all my stuff, I said “Im selling this all together only!” and instead of coming to an agreement, Devonte tried to buy 300$ worth of items from me for barely 70$. Just took my things in the back, made up a price (NO haggling or discussion about price), came back to the front, wrung them all up, and was like. “Okay sign this paper to sell! ☺️”. I said “Uhm, No. I never agreed to sell at those prices.” And he just goes “Uhmm… you said you wanted to sell..?” THEN the manager walks over and has to void the transaction, telling him “You did it again, Devonte. You keep starting the transaction without asking”. And then we were escorted out as if we were there to steal something?? Literally the worst pawn shop i have ever been to. PAWN SHOPS NORMALLY HAGGLE PRICE AND CARE ABOUT...

A male customer inside made me feel really uncomfortable while offering to buy the stereo I had brought in to pawn. He said that he wanted to follow me to my car, where he wanted to me do the exchange. Due to the nature of this man, I didn't want him to see me walking to my car as I was alone and already feeling quite uncomfortable, so I told him it would be a better idea if went to the ATM, got the money and then came back inside. My plan was as soon as he was out of sight, I was going to run to my car and leave. So he left the shop and waited until I could no longer see him. While I was standing and waiting for him to disappear from sight, the only other woman employee inside told me "You're going to have to go outside if he's going to sell that to you" and I told her I wasn't going to sell him anything and that I felt unsafe. I tried explaining to her what happened and she still made me leave. You'd think another woman of all people would understand the predicament I was in, but I guess not. Overall, the staff was very rude, very cold and just the atomopshere...

So we pawned our ps4 here. When we came to extend the pawn a black woman handled it. She charged us 7$ to extend for a month. Not even a month later we come back to get our ps4, game and controller. Not only is our ps4 on the shelf now but we were charged 157$ interest to remove it off of the shelf PLUS 200$ for what we borrowed. Needless to say if you want to actually KEEP your property do not do business here. They will take money to extend it then put it on the shelf anyway. I WILL NOT return to this store. Not to buy, sell, or pawn ANYTHING! If you don't heed my warning and visit the store anyway, just stay AWAY from the black woman working here. There is no racism involved.
