I’m really tired of these food establishments false advertising their menu items. I am a true southern girl and I know what good home style southern cooking is made of…So with that being said, please stop advertising “Swai , Basa “ or what ever your serving as catfish! I spent $29.73 and I live almost an hour and 15 minutes away from this establishment so I was highly upset when I got halfway home only to find out that I had a takeout container that DID NOT contain catfish! I HATE Swai and Basa neither taste anything like catfish no matter how you bread or fry it! It will always have a rubbery, wet texture and will smell and taste like bleach and that’s exactly what I experienced today. If it’s Swai and Basa you’re selling SAY that, advertise that, but don’t be deceitful and dishonest about it. The cornmeal coating that’s used was also disappointing. Frying fish is an art! Either you can fry it perfectly Or you can’t fry it at all (my opinion) I had high hopes for this place, but I’m very disappointed. The only thing I can give two stars are the fries and the whole chicken wings and they...
Read moreCame to grab sumthin to eat at 7:45 on Sunday and was told we’re closed by the RUDE jerk at the front counter. He said it takes 15 minutes to cook the food. Mind you he was still taking orders ahead of us and let us stand in the line 5 minutes before telling us he decided to close. Turn the “open” sign off and say you close at 7:45 on Sunday, not 8! Won’t be going back and will tell the many people I know in the Desoto area not to eat here ether. There a way to speak to customers and there’s not it. UPDATE Since the owner wants to be smart and technical in his response, we were actually there at 7:48 and you took 2 orders that took you until 7:56 to complete, then you chose to say you were closed. The proper thing to do is place a sign (you have them all over the store) up saying you stop taking orders at a certain time to eliminate confusion. So you won’t be seeing me ever. I run a business as well with a 5 star rating because we know how to treat our...
Read moreI visited this place the other night because I was craving fried chicken wings and didn’t feel like cooking. After work, I ordered a 10-piece medium chicken wing with two medium Kool-Aid and a strawberry cake. You may recall that when I lived on this side of town, I used to order food from here frequently. Last summer, I organized a back-to-school supplies drive for many of my clients, and they met me at this parking lot to order food. One of my parents even ordered me some chicken and Kool-Aid to supply her with seven school supplies for her family. Let me tell you, it was extremely hot that day, and I’m grateful she brought me a drink because the heat was no joke! I ended up distributing over 100 school supplies, along with clear backpacks and snacks. Remind you I had 60% off the supplies I brought✌🏽The customer service here is fantastic, and the owner is incredibly kind and...
