I'm so happy I found this place. For those in the know, La Islena is a really superb butcher shop and grocer! Always fresh meats, seafood, produce, and cheese. I have tried almost every item, and it is all better than the supermarket. The produce is ripe and inexpensive. Seafood ceviche is incredible. So are the wonderful variety of salsas. This store is a like a hidden little treasure. Lots of Hispanic foods available. Sweet breads and original Mexican snacks. Freshly made salsas and guacamole, all taste homemade.
