Be aware that if you forget to close out your tab at the end of the night, management will close out your tab (which is a given) but will add not a standard 20% gratuity, but a TWENTY FIVE PERCENT gratuity. I recently attended an show and had to leave in a rush in order to tend to a friend who was not feeling well once the show was over. Once I arrived home, I realized I forgot to close my tab out. The next day I saw the charge of $38.00 on my bank statement and a final charge is for $47.50 two days later. 20% of $38.00 is $7.60 and that = $45.60 25% of $38.00 is $9.50 and that = $47.50 Let's be clear, I'm a fantastic tipper. I've worked in the service industry for a good portion of my adult life. Tipping 30%+ is not out of the norm for me. But I typically like to choose what the tip is. Not to mention, its sneaky and shady to tack on anything higher than the standard 20% in this situation. I reached out to the venue via their Facebook page on August 3rd and explained the situation and tried to find out their policy on unclosed tabs. The reply I received was: "Whats the last 4 on your card I will pull the receipt. The 20% sign is located in the middle of each bar." I replied with the last 4 digits of my card and then received this reply: "I will get back to you Tuesday asap when we are back in the office."
It is now August 11th and I have not heard back. Funny enough, there is a clear, well lit photo of the bar that I ordered my drinks from in the Google Photos. Can anyone point out to me where this supposed sign is located? Because when the venue is dimly lit, I would imagine that this supposed sign is nearly impossible to see, never mind read.
I would urge everyone to look at their statements if they forget to close out a tab before the gratuity is added on to make sure they don't tack on 25% or higher without your consent. It may only be a buck or two, but it adds up to quite a revenue stream by when 10-20 or more...
Read moreIf zero stars were an option I would’ve chosen that. Absolutely terrible experience. We were at the Jessie Murph show Saturday Nov. 2nd and were wrongfully kicked out. Completely GASLIT outside into looking crazy. Security dragged my fiance out for NO reason, I followed another guard out that wouldn’t give me any answers. We finally get to him and there are “guards” in his face, I’m asking questions and a female guard gets in MY face and proceeds to scream and call me names, another male guard comes up behind her and gets in my face as well, that’s when my fiancé stands up and yells at them to get out of my face and we look insane at this point. We sit in the grass next to the entrance to wait on my dad and his gf that were still inside, when 3 OFFICERS walk up and force us to order an Uber and get off the property. While waiting for the Uber we were talking to them and telling them our story and they apologized over and over but said unfortunately they can’t change what happened they are just there to get us off the property. I tell them about me having to give my beer to my dad because they said I couldn’t take it outside where they had my fiancé sitting because no drinks are allowed outside the venue but they were selling beer in the parking lot to people in line? The cops were pissed about that and said the venue isn’t allowed to serve outside so I hope the venue got their karma from that. We paid $300 on top of hotel rooms and a 2 hour drive it was well over a $1500 weekend. We are HIGHLY disappointed and will never be back. It is a nice looking venue, BUT your security absolutely SUCKS and tries to pick fights with people just because I guess. We did nothing wrong and were actually trying to keep space open for the little girl and her mom and moms friend in front of us. Children have NO business in this environment as well. We are really upset and this was one of the worst...
Read moreWent to see Cold tonight 5 /31 and was singing and enjoying the show and then some employee came up to me and said I was to loud and I needed be quiet and we needed to leave?!!!?! Paid for these tickets for my wife's birthday, but we can't enjoy ourselves and sing along with the band and have a good time!!??. Never again Manchester!! You need to get a grip on your employees!! People can crowd surf at and be idiots at other shows and be loud and obnoxious which is prohibited and stay, but we were at a Cold concert which is the last thing for crowd surfing , and we are singing and enjoying ourselves, but we were to loud??!? Have seen Cold 2 other times at different venues and these idiotic actions have never happened. Would give 0 rating if it were an option. Your security people are a joke and do not see what is truly going on in the crowd.
Misinformation??? Took you 3 months to reply to a post about how unprofessional your security staff is, but cater to the Karen's of the crowd??! Been to this place multiple times and this is the last, whoever you are that is parsing through posts 3 months way later than you should respond to. Need to hire people who work security the way it should be done. Not the way that is a knee jerk reaction to what they think happened! Get All sides of a story straight before you kick out people that paid hundreds of dollars for tickets and are just trying to have a good time and enjoying the show. And finally, maybe coach your security staff to identify themselves whenever they come up to someone, instead of getting in someone's face and telling them to be quiet and shut up because you're being too loud?!??. Embarrassing for your...
