Upon entering this establishment, I was greeted by 3 lovely ladies, all smiling and welcoming me. This is my first time here and might I say…. I will be returning.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Kind of what you might see in a modern, upscale diner. The walls are adorned with various musicians and actor/actresses. In the corner sits a lone microphone stand. (Karaoke?) Anyways it was time for food.
I happily walked up to the counter and asked all of the hostesses for the recommendations on drinks and food. I was told that the blueberry muffin latte was a very hot item along with the French toast. I agreed with those recommendations, placed my order and went to sit down and wait.
My latte came out first and when I say flavor!!!! The blueberry came shining through as if I dipped my muffin in a hot mug of coffee. Not overly sweet but a flavor to savor for later.
Not long after sipping my brew, I was presented with a delicious platter of eggs, sausage, and French toast. My first bite into the eggs was very pleasing. Farm fresh taste with a nice cheesy backbone to complement them. When you decide to cook the cheese into the eggs… Congratulations for the taste and elevation of basic eggs to the next level.
Next, it was time to try the sausage and it too was cooked to perfection. Nice bite and solid flavor of farm raised pork.
After devouring the sides, it was time for the star. French toast!!! And as you might suspect, it too was a flavorful bite for your face. Soft brioche, sprinkled generously with powdered sugar and drizzled in maple syrup.
There are no negatives in today’s review. Those ladies did their thang. And this earns them the top rating. Thank you Java...
Read moreI'm only giving it 2 stars because the dude cooking was the only one that made you feel welcome (the girl taking orders doesn't smile or make feel welcome) for being a small place that is important. The coffee and avocado toast was good. The rest was not eggs were over cooked, toast was over cooked, butter was frozen and a couple other things just weren't great. The bar stools gotta go, those damn things are uncomfortable as all can be. And tips shouldn't have to be paid upfront, I don't want to prepay for not the greatest service.
Edited for your response, lane. I understand you and your fiancé work hard just like everyone else in the world and alot of people just like you are raising a child and struggling to make ends meet. Reviews are supposed to be honest so other potential customers can make their own decision on where they want to spend their hard earned money. If everyone gave you a perfect review but weren't really happy with everything there, then you would not learn and improve over time. My review was not a bashing review, it was my view of the place and the food so take it with a grain of salt and see if you can improve from it. There is no success...
Read moreThis was the only place open for coffee when I came here for a work trip on a Sunday. They saved all of my staff. It was the weekend of graduation and no doordash could get through to us via a Starbucks so I set out on foot to get us coffee. I literally walked from the arena to this place in under 10 minutes. I ordered food for about six people and they were slammed but it was worth the wait. The food is absolutely amazing. I trotted around the neighborhood while I waited for my large order and it was so cute with a lot of historical buildings. The gal at the counter made all my drinks perfectly and everyone made sure everything was packed and ready to go. I literally ran back to the college and fed my team with the to-go food and they were very happy- so much so they talked about the food into the afternoon. Thank you so much for your amazing culinary expertise but also being really cool and cute.
There's definitely a jukebox but also a Nintendo switch if you...
