When we travel, we always used LaQuinta, because it is pet friendly and all hotels we stayed had very nice customer service. However this hotel totally changed our expectations and brand loyalty for the LaQuinta Inn. Pro: Rooms were newer than most La Quinta we ever stayed They serve hot breakfast every day. (Scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy French toast sticks, waffles (two types), bread, oatmeal, fruit, serials (two types), yogurt) Lisa the lady in charge of the food on weekends is amazing! She is super friendly and nice. We really love her!
Cons: Other than Lisa and one cleaning lady who I believe she is wife or family member of the owner), every staffs who work there look angry and rude. No smile, no greeting, weekday food lady, two cleaning ladies gave me nasty looks when I was just being there. I didn’t feel welcomed at all and I was very disappointed. Housekeeping was not served 50% of the time when we were there. We didn’t put “no disturb” signs, but they just keep skipping our room. No trash pick up, no towels changes, no cleaning. Because of half of our stayed days were without housekeeping, we had to get our own toilet papers and shampoo and conditioner to cover those days. The laundry room, it’s required $3.00 for washer and $3.00 for dryer. They have app options to pay via the app, but we didn’t want to use unfamiliar app and connect our bank / card info. Without the app, you need to have at least $6.00 in quarters. So we went to front desk to exchange. They don’t even have $3.00 worth of coins and recommend me to go to nearby gas station. In middle of night, we had to go THREE gas stations to get the stupid quarters to use the laundry room. It was worst LaQuinta Inn experience I ever had and I stayed over 25 places. I don’t recommend the place to anyone unless you stay there on weekends. Again Lisa is only amazing staff...
Read moreVery limited breakfast on a Sunday morning. No sugar-free or "non-pork" options. You can tell they spend as little as possible. Very strong smell of marijuana throughout our visit at this non-smoking facility.
Checkout Day: This review required an update!!!!!! To begin the day, there was no elevator. We were told by one person (female owner) we could wait for it to be repaired. However, the black girl at the front with stitch braids told us we needed to check out. With no elevator, a truck full of luggage and items, and two children that is a lot. A little while later after the owner lady left, the young black girl called the room and said the owner male said we needed to checkout. Before this, we were denied towels by a guy on our hall cleaning because we were "checking out". (Never happened before). So, we cannot shower because we are checking out????My daughter called downstairs and explained the situation, and we given two towels.
We literally were pushed out. Checkout is at 11. We were NOT trying to stay. All we wanted was to wait for the elevators to be repaired so that we did not have to haul all our stuff with two children up and down the stairs.
We are hardworking tax-payers, not tax-takers. To be treated as a tax-taker when we are spending our money is demeaning. Customer service and customer relations are severe areas of deficits at this location. LaQuinta has lost a loyal family of customers. I'm so disappointed 😞! An elevator issue is beyond our control and the hotel's. It is a time to show empathy for your clients, not to make them feel unappreciated and unwanted....
Read moreProblem-loud, noisy, not restful, unaccommodating front desk staff If you want a nice night of sleep this may not be the place for you. This was our 2nd time staying here. The first time, Don was the front desk clerk and he was amazing. This time there was no Don. We checked in during the evening. The lobby had quite a few guests including 2 children that were literally running around. These children looked to be about 7, and 9 years old. No one corrected them as they sprinted around. We finished checking in and went to our room. The rooms are clean as it’s newly renovated. No sooner than we settled in to relax, a “child” in the room above us was stomping and running around. It sounded as if they would fall through the floor. We assumed that it was the same children from the lobby. Why would you put rambunctious children on the top floor? Eventually they settled down, and we were able to get some sleep. We were awakened by the train that is somewhere near by. I woke up with the worse headache. And like clockwork, as soon as day break the children above us began their rough housing again. This went on until it was time for check out.
At checkout, we told the desk attendant about the experience. He replied that we could of went upstairs to confront the guest. No lie. In an era where people are getting shot for pulling into the wrong driveway, the clerk suggested that WE knock on the door of a dysfunctional guest and tell them to quiet down. I don’t know what changed from our 1st to 2nd stay, it it was a very...
