I don't like leaving bad reviews, but bad reviews are needed to fix what's wrong. Not sure how this store is still going. I've lived here for almost 2 decades and came here when I first moved here. It was ok at best. I usually go to the other DQ locations which are great.
Tonight, we were on this side of town and I suggested the LG DQ. Boy was that a mistake!!! I'm all for giving second chances, but yea not this place and not the indian accent woman in the drive thru. We saw 1 vehicle in the drive thru and wasn't sure if they were still open. They looked closed other than the open sign was on. The other vehicle in the drive thru moved forward and we pulled to the window almost instantly. An empty drive thru could mean just a slower time of day or could be a reason why they don't have many customers at all.
My husband ordered what he wanted and the woman asked if he wanted anything else. My husband said yes, my wife is deciding. All of a sudden, the indian woman kept talking and it was hard to understand her to begin with, but she kept talking about something else and both my husband and my self were like huh? What is she talking about? Who is she talking to? Us? She then said she was talking to someone else getting their change. She should have turned her microphone off or mute or covered the microphone with her hand, something. I've worked in drive thru. You press the button to talk and release the button when you aren't talking to the person at the speaker. We were so confused with what she was saying to begin with and who she was talking to. She came back and rudely said she has to take peoples change too. Ok, we get that. She was just trying end our order before I could pick what I wanted to eat and talking to several people at once. My husband said ok our order isn't complete yet.
Thank God. Someone else came on the speaker who spoke normal English and kindly took our order and repeated it to make sure it was right. My husband told her what he wanted and that I wanted a double cheeseburger. When we got to the speaker, the indian accent woman kept talking about the current incident about how she has to do other things to. We said we're fine with that, but with you talking to other people while trying to take our order, it confuses the person at the speaker because we don't know who you're talking to. She was just very rude like we were acting that she would only take care of us and not do any other aspects of her job. Not true. We just told her she needs to figure out how to mute or turn off her microphone when she has to talk to someone else or just simply tell us "can you hold on for a moment? (pause to get our response) Thank you" There's ways to multitask while working a drive thru line. I've done it at several places in my time.
My husband burger was right, but I ordered a double cheeseburger, but I got a single cheeseburger with bacon. My burger was good, but the indian womans rudeness is killing your business. Whomever the other woman that kindly took our order should be the one to work the drive thru. I guess no one in line meant the service was horrible and my original thought was correct. We will keep going to the other DQ location in the next town. Their drive thru is always backed up which means they are worth the wait and they are always kind and friendly to us and always make sure our...
Read moreIn my opinion, anything can at least be remedied with good customer service. This week, the DQ in Locust Grove failed not only in the taste of food, but also failed miserably in customer service. My elderly mom went out to pick up some food for my son. I have been down with a pinched nerve for over a week. When she brought it home, my son (who usually adores DQ) said it tasted funny. I tasted the chicken tenders as well and agreed with him. They tasted like old fish. I immediately called up to Dairy Queen and spoke to the supervisor. She stated that she had no authority to replace the food and advised me to call back the next day between 10-4 when the manager was present. I asked her if I needed to keep the food as proof that we did not eat it at all and she said yes. Unfortunately Dairy Queen did not provide my mom with a receipt. The next day we were not available to call. Thus, I called on Friday. I spoke to Heather, one of the managers, and explained the above. She asked who I spoke to on Wednesday. When I told her I did not get the name she asked if the person was black, Hispanic, etc to which I responded that I did not know (how am I to know from a phone call what race a person is?). Heather stated that we could get a remake. Just to mention our conversation when going through the drive-thru. When my mom went to pick up the new food, the owner Fad spoke very rudely to her. He raised his voice and told her that he would replace it this time, but not again. He replaced a 4 piece chicken tender meal, when my mom paid for a 6 piece chicken tender meal on Wednesday. He told her that the food needed to be eaten fresh, not the next day (my son attempted to eat the food the same day we bought it). When my mom returned home she was visibly shaken and upset. She informed me of how she had been treated. I called up to Dairy Queen to speak to the owner and was told he went to the bank. I requested a call back from him; however have not heard from him since. There is NEVER an appropriate time to be rude to the elderly (my mom is in her 70’s). We simply wanted the bad food replaced. We were not trying to “get over” on anyone. It is a shame that we were treated as such. Prior to this experience we frequented this Dairy Queen often. It will be quite a while before I visit this location again. Also I will be telling friends and family of our experience. Beware of this location!! If you should have a problem the owner will NOT make it right and will act like it is your fault that it is wrong. While the majority of the staff has good customer service, the owner is rude to the elderly and does not return...
Read moreI was at the store today at 3:50 pm to order my brothers Birthday cake for tomorrow evening. I ordered a resse peanut butter cup 10 inch cake and happened to mentioned I wish those cakes could have a design but I know the candy on top makes it impossible . Shannon asked me what I would have wanted if it could be done ,I told her he is Georgia Bulldogs number 1 fan and he loves that Georgia G lol! I was very pleased with the whole staff order went great and I would be back tomorrow to pick up my cake for my Brother. While sitting on the couch at home my phone text message goes off with a picture of a blizzard cake with a Georgia G on it! To say I was shocked would be an understatement my husband who is very close to.my brother said now that's awesome! I had forgotten that customer service and willingness to.make things happen still existed. I just couldn't believe the talent or will or desire to.make it perfect for a customer.
