I was going to go 5 stars, because seeing how the staff here interacts with the community, almost eerily on a first name basis, giving normal patrons hugs and conversing in a familiar matter, a definite staple in the immediate community.
The cohesiveness of the staff, is phenomenal. Brandon and Michael were my service personnel, and the hospitality that they provided was nothing less than stellar. Seriously, I've dined at a ton of upscale eating establishments, but these guys are five star / Michelin star restaurant type of staff, minus the vest, cummerbund and bowtie
Think I'm lying? Look at all my reviews.
I'm staying across the parking lot at the rat roof inn. I've stayed in this hotel before, and have seen this place multiple times throughout the last year, I can't not see it, because it's directly outside my window on the third floor, but I'm just so overly critical about my Mexican food and never came in, but I did today. I really wish I would have given this place a try before.
Anything less than four stars about this place is an absolute robbery. Even from a stranger. The amount of unity in this restaurant is uncanny, it definitely has a small town vibe (sorry, I HATE using that word). These guys know everybody, and it seems like everybody knows everybody! So seeing so many people as repeat customers is obviously a good sign.
Michael and Brandon made me a very generous jalapeno margarita.. I'm a drinker, daily drinker, liquor, and after throwing this bad boy back, I was definitely feeling like a smooth barracuda!
I sat there for a good couple hours. Conversating with other restaurant goers at the bar. Everybody is just so nice, that is why I love the South.
I'm only pulling one star, because my food was cold. I hate I hate I hate to say that, because everything else was so spot on. Even in the middle of my rice it was a little bit over room temp and my enchiladas weren't melted at all.. I was going to ask them to take it back and heat it up a little bit longer, but as the night went on they got really busy so they were hustling and bustling taking care of other customers.
I'll definitely be back the next time I'm here in the area. You guys have a great staff, and I know the food is good, a lot of the food that they carried by me to other tables was actually sizzling. I might have just got the bad luck...
Read moreTraveled all day. Stayed at the hotel next door, this was our third visit. The first was right after they opened, food was good. Clearly this has turned into is a place that gets business from travelers. Driving for seven hours, just want to eat. I sent my husband and adult son with a specific written list. My grandson wanted two soft tocos, meat and cheese only. Got two soggy tocos with meat and wet lettuce. I scraped off the lettuce and told him the meat grease was cheese, he wasn't buying it. I ordered a beef burrito with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. That's all I want. No beans! I get a beef and bean burrito over rice. The lettuce was like the shredded stuff that comes in a big bag, soggy wet. I'm not sure what the mystery meat was. No beef I've ever had tasted like this. Toco Bell would have been a 10 next to this beef or what ever it was. My grandson won't eat the greasy soft tocos because he can still see the lettuce. My grandson and I make the walk to the McDonalds in the gas station. This will be a loss for Holiday Inn also. We pick this very busy Locest Grove exit so we can walk to dinner. My husband ordered shrimp and he was okay with it. Looked nothing like the shrimp meal he had last time. He was tired and just ate it. You're paying restaurant prices for food that's clearly intended for travelers at a very busy exit. I can't imaging living in this area and fighting the traffic to eat at this place. Won't return to the Holiday in since there's no where else to walk for dinner except gas...
Read moreLooks can be deceiving! This place is not in the greatest location but the food is the best Mexican Food I have had in a LONG time! My wife didn't really want to dine in because we were in a hurry to get home and we also had our baby puppy but I was able to talk her into it because I had been once before and knew the food was good. She was thanking me afterwards. The good dining starts from the moment you walk in and are greeted by a great staff with amazing energy. The chips and salsa both taste so fresh and almost home made. Then our meal was delicious, I enjoyed the Jalisco Steak and my wife loved the Shrimp Fajita Quesadila. We eat at our local Mexican Restaurant all the time and I hate to admit it but it doesn't even compare to Molinos. Both times I've went I've had the same waiter and he makes the meal better just by his contagious positive attitude. I just had to take a moment to leave feedback on the service I received here. Thank you for a great dining experience, we will...
