Rock N Roll Sushi — Restaurant in Locust Grove

Save your time and money! Our experience was terrible at this location. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night and it was dead. Only two other couples in the restaurant, that should have been our sign to leave. Server let us pick a table and first one was a booth and the seats were so crammed up on the table, we moved to the booth behind us and when we told the server she didn’t seem to care at all that they all needed adjusted. No milk for kids. They bring us 1 plate for a table of 4 and little plastic cups for soy! Why not the small dish like most Japanese restaurants offer? So cheap and hard to use. Ordered kids meals and a appetizer, my sons “chicken nuggets” came and they are not chicken nuggets at all, they a small chucks of the teriyaki chicken breaded in panko. Which my kid did not want to eat, don’t blame him they looked terrible. They came with the smallest portion of fries ever! A McDonalds small fry has more! That kids meal was $9! My daughter wanted a California roll, which she ate a few pieces then wanted the “chicken nuggets” so I got up and walk over to the bar to ask our server to put in a order for her. We ordered our food and 2 beers, I got a Yuengling. She brought beers over, unopened, no glasses. We asked for glasses and she brought over 2 giant plastic cups to drink our beers out of. At that point I was done, but we had already ordered. We get our food, still no nuggets for my daughter. We start eating, no nuggets..finally the server comes over and says “i don’t know what happened in the kitchen, but they didn’t make her order. I wont charge you for it” Okay, mind you, it is still dead in there. I think a 2 more tables came in during this time. Finally they bring out her nuggets, half of them are the size of a kidney bean. I ask for the check and she brings it over and says “ they would only let me take half off the nuggets” turns and walks away. This was by far the rudest and worst service we have had an any restaurant lately. Stay away! They are overpriced and the food isn’t that good. I ordered Chicken Hibachi with double veggies. My husband ordered the same, but with double chicken. We did NOT get what we paid for. The order was delivered by UE and we drove to the restaurant to take the food back! Anytime you decide to get dressed and take food back to a restaurant while not feeling well there has to be a major issue. We spoke with Matt and while he was very apologetic and wanted to make it right, we will never order from them again. The first time was good. Second time was “ok”, but definitely a downgrade from the first time we ordered. This time? Terrible. Portion of “extra” chicken and “double veggies” was the same if not less than the regular portion. The food was sloppy and thrown together, spoonful of veggies for both meals were overcooked and didn’t look appealing at all. The chicken was placed in the small area of the container. What does that tell you? Can you fit “double meat” in the small part of a container meant for a side? No. The veggies were scattered in the large area. They have Japanese steakhouse prices, but you get happy meal portions. I’m assuming most of their revenue comes from delivery orders, because whenever we drive by the place is empty. There were four customers in the restaurant eating when we returned our food. The employees were standing around doing nothing. They had more employees than customers. I decided to take my kids to Rock N Roll Sushi today for their first sushi experience. It unfortunately didn't happen since after waiting for 45 minutes, we did not so much as receive a glass of water. The parties that got there after us had water on their tables and had their orders taken during that time. One table even received their food before we left. I was there with 3 hungry kids between the ages of 3 and 8, and no one thought we should at least have received our drinks within that time. When I first got there, the waitress who took us to our seat said "I or someone else will come to take your order shortly". Shortly never arrived. Some minutes before we left, she said "I know you guys have been waiting long. Someone will take your order shortly." She went past my table multiple times to go to the table of the lady sitting near us, bringing her food, to-go box, bill, etc. Not at one time did it cross her mind to take our drink orders. A guy came from the kitchen at some point and handed me a coupon. I assume it's because he saw how long I had been waiting although this wasn't said. There was no empathy from anyone. There was so consideration for the fact I was there alone with 3 little kids. After 45 minutes of waiting, my kids were getting restless and we were all hungry.
