We arrived in the later evening mid week and found the "helping another guest" sign from my photos posted at the check in desk. I'm almost sure the young man was not away helping anybody, but instead just came up front at his leisure. No apologies for the wait. No pleasantries.
The pool smells so badly. Clean pools do not smell. We could smell the pool before we walked into the lobby and we lucked out with a room on the first floor with the stinky pool. Additionally, there was a light shining on our bedroom window that, while largely blocked by the curtains, still bled in under them and our sleeping area was never fully dark. There is a photo posted of our room on the first floor bottom right where it may show the light shining on the window mid day.
Due to exhaustion and our tight schedule there was no time or energy to try to make changes.
The bathroom has one towel bar and zero hooks inside it. I'm not sure where any more than a single bath towel was located. No additional bath towels were available outside the bathroom near the sink or kitchenette. I would've had to wake my sleeping children to look around the living area for possible towel hiding spots. The time in the shower was a fight to get the curtain to stay closed at both ends. There's no question as to why the wall paper is pulling away at the bottom on both sides of the tub.
Generally, this was not a comfortable stay and we will not return to this hotel...
Read moreLoved our family’s stay during graduation weekend at Fairfield Loveland. Becca checked us in and was so cheery and welcoming to us and our kids. They had fun spinning the prize wheel for Bonvoy members and we won free parking and a free snack from the little market. She applied the free parking right away and I didn’t have to remind anyone at checkout. Our kids were indecisive and she said they could come back tomorrow and remembered us immediately and reminded us to get our free snack. Rooms were clean, beds comfy, windows could open a little for fresh air. Laundry machines for guests were fast and good ($4 each for washer and dryer and could buy detergent for $1.50). Mel, our breakfast server, was helpful and made sure everyone had what they needed and offered our kids the donut tray one last time before closing up, very sweet! Susan at checkout was also lovely and helped me find a QR code to leave a credit card tip for housekeeping and Mel since I didnt have cash on me. It was about 20 minutes from CSU, but the location was still very convenient, right off of the highway and next door to so many shops and eateries - we hit Target twice for essentials and last minute graduation stuff....
Read moreThe room and breakfast were wonderful. The staff was great but, I have a major complaint. As my husband and I registered us, a very pleasant young woman greeted us. She was very helpful with suggesting a really good place to eat BUT she was the ONLY staff working! As a retired Probation Officer, she was in a very, very vulnerable position! I could not sleep all night because my mind kept going to the idea that she was a sitting duck being that she was working alone!
Upon checking out, I asked that very kind woman if she knew if the evening woman was alone. I was given the response that the assistant manager was supposed to work but had “called off!”l So, yes, the evening woman was alone.
My husband and I have been on the road for 17 days, every single hotel we’ve stayed at but one has been some sort of Marriott. We have been very happy and have felt safe because there has always been at least two employees!
We will continue to stay at Marriotts except I will not recommend this one. There appears to have no respect or regard for the safety of...
