The manager here would make me come back. The manager is hands down one of the nicest people I’ve ever met! The other front desk people I can’t say the same about, the women were muted and cold and made us feel like such an imposition with not only the issues we had, but even things like checking out the tennis rackets or asking questions. The manager was thankfully there most of the time and literally saved the moment each time. The guy at the front desk was pleasant but unfortunately only there a few times during the week we stayed. The rooms are very large and can accommodate a lot of people, the beaches nearby were better than the beaches at Kaanapali, but I would not recommend this place for anyone with children under 4. More details below: (Reason for the 3 stars) The rooms were dated, although some updates had been done and the kitchens were nice, there was still old lighting fixtures, curtains, and it just had a bit of an old time feel to it. Real keys instead of cards so if you lose one you get charged an $85 fee (the manager was kind enough to waive ours because of some issues we had). There is no food on site whatsoever. There are full kitchens in the rooms which makes it nice, but we got in very late when all the stores were closed and so wished there was at least a small convenience store located in the lobby for late night/early morning snacks, things we forgot like salt/pepper/condiments etc. and lastly, you have to wash your own beach towels. We stayed 6 days and used them daily. The washers work well, but are small, so for 7 people we had to do 2 loads of laundry daily in order to keep our beach towels clean. Aside from that just some random details: (negative and positive) The beach is more of a walk then we thought for the kids and it is not stroller friendly. we ended up driving to the beaches to park. The pool is absolutely beautiful and warm! - but the steps are made of small tiles which were very hard on our toddler’s feet and knees and uncomfortable to sit on, so I would not call the pool toddler friendly if you know what I mean about the smaller ones liking the steps. Our room had glass tables in it which our toddler kept hitting his head on, the stairs were very steep (the manager provided us a baby gate which was so kind!) and the railings on the balcony’s have large gaps which kept us on our toes the entire time he was on the balcony. The tennis court was the best part of our stay! They give 6 balls and the rackets are nice quality rackets. The court is well maintained and looks new. The putting and shuffleboard was being renovated while we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy it until our last day, but was a very nice renovation. Lastly, we had ghost ants that would not go away. They tried spraying OTC and even brought in a pest control company to spray, but we still had ants in our room the entire stay-so we only used half the kitchen to be careful they weren’t in our food. They offered to move us to a different room, but we heard complaints of them in other rooms as well. We expected bugs in Hawaii so we just dealt with it. They also replaced our A/C that went out during our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and the manager tried his best to accommodate all the issues that were presented and with a smile on his face. We would go back when our...

Each trip feels like home, thanks to the outstanding service and welcoming atmosphere. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel special—from the friendly check-in to the customer experience.||While we've stayed at other properties, such as the Outrigger Palms, Mana Kai Resort (across the street), and Airbnbs, we don't recommend them because nothing compares to the experience at Maui Hill. There are also no hidden fees, like resort and parking, which you must consider when choosing properties.||Each unit has its character and vibe, with well-stocked kitchens and a spacious primary bedroom that opens onto the lanai—perfect for sipping your morning coffee while soaking in the stunning views. The generously sized accommodations often come with beach chairs, and the peaceful lanai invites you to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. Get the 10% discount at Foodland upon check-in! The beach is just a short walk away, and the property has a relaxing swimming pool, tennis court, and shuffleboard. ||We love how Dennis Costa, the General Manager, makes us feel like family, and the entire staff genuinely cares about our experience. They have a weekly manager mai tai party, which is welcoming and fun.||Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and Kamaole Beach Parks, Maui Hill is also an excellent choice for remote workers. Read moreWe loved our stay here. Excellent location and very generous room size for the price. It’s across the street from the beach and only a few blocks away from shops and restaurants in both directions (Kihei and Wailea) but yet the small stretch where Maui Hill sits on the main Kihei road is relatively quiet and private. We also enjoyed its location being about a 5 min drive to Wailea where we were able to enjoy a nice range of new shops and restaurants. Amenities are very convenient as the units include a well stocked kitchen with full size fridge, dishwasher, stove and wet bar as well as an in-unit washer dryer. We found these accommodations to be very useful during our stay. We also enjoyed the grounds which were well manicured and included a nice swimming pool and tennis courts which were never too crowded. While the furnishing style is a bit dated and reminiscent of The Golden Girls, compared with the newer more modern resort hotels, it’s in line with many Maui condo rentals offering the Hawaiian colonial plantation style furnishings but if you're out exploring Maui, all this doesn't matter. One note of advice is to secure your valuables when you leave your room as we did have an incident where someone entered our room without our permission. Otherwise it was an great stay. I highly recommend the upper units if you can get them. They generally have better views including those of the ocean and impressive sunsets and are more private. The staff also did a great job: they were very friendly and accommodating whenever we...
