I recently went on a combined sunset sail and whale watch and it was wonderful experience!

The journey began with a smooth sail out onto the water as the sun started its descent, painting the sky with stunning shades of gold, pink, and lavender. The crew was welcoming and professional, making sure everyone was comfortable and ready for the adventure ahead. They provided great insight into the local marine life, offering information about the whales we might encounter, as well as tips on spotting them.

As we ventured further from shore, the excitement of the whale-watching portion began. The boat's crew skillfully navigated to prime whale-watching spots, and soon enough, we were in awe of these majestic creatures. We saw multiple humpback whales spouting, and even slapping their tails on the water, all in the midst of an absolutely breathtaking sunset backdrop. It was a surreal experience to witness such enormous creatures in their natural habitat, while the sky above transformed into vibrant pinks, oranges and blues.

The combination of whale watching and the sunset sail was truly perfect. It felt like the ideal way to take in nature's beauty from both above and below the waterline. Molokini Crater is like a dream underwater. The clarity of the water is surreal, offering visibility of up to 150 feet. The vibrant coral reefs teem with colorful fish and marine life. It felt like swimming in a giant aquarium.

Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we headed to Turtle Town. Seeing the majestic Hawaiian green sea turtles in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience. The turtles were calm and graceful, and the crew ensured we interacted responsibly, emphasizing respect for marine life.

As an added bonus: We even saw a handful of whales breaching the water on the way back to port!
