Maui Beach Condos — Hotel in Maui

What an awesome property and owner! My wife and I were planning a special 30th anniversary trip and looked at numerous VRBO properties on Maui prior to booking Mahana #717; but we kept coming back to this one, and we are so glad we booked this!

First, as most have stated, the view is TREMENDOUS. You are literally right on the beach with a full glass wall and wonderful lanai that provide beautiful panoramic views with the islands of Lanai to your left and Molokai to your right. There is a consistent wave break, which is wonderful to listen to -- even sleeping with the sliding door open at night if it is cool enough. The resort is very quiet, so you have peaceful mornings and nights to enjoy and reflect. The water is crystal clear, and if you are lucky, you may spot a sea turtle or two swimming - we did! The unit itself is very comfortable and has all the amenities you may need. A nice little feature is a trove of books and dvd's for your use as well.

Re: Alicia and her team. Fantastic communication and service. Communicated through every step of the process including booking events for us - dinner cruise, snorkeling, luau, etc. While we did not require travel services, Alicia is a travel agent and can arrange air, car, etc. for you. She will absolutely go the extra mile to ensure your stay is wonderful and memorable. Example: Our oldest daughter reached out to Alicia (unbeknownst to us), and arranged for a beautiful vase of flowers, a gift certificate to Duke's restaurant, and a card to be in our unit upon check-in. What a wonderful surprise! The card was in our daughter’s handwriting - meaning she mailed this and Alicia's team had it placed in the unit as well as the flowers and recommending Duke's. WOW! This made our day for sure!

Lastly, the weather was FANTASTIC and the entire island of course is beautiful; there are so many things to see and do depending upon your likes. The beach directly in front of the unit is not adequate for sunbathing and swimming due to the wave breaks and coral, but this also leads to the quiet and solitude of the resort. However, a short walk down the beach is perfect! There are beach chairs and a cooler in the unit that we used - nice touch! We enjoyed long walks south on the beach or the boardwalk which is very nice!

We have been coming to Maui for more than 40 years and stayed with family or at hotels earlier, but we discovered condo rentals about 20 years ago and thats been our norm ever since. We especially like the Kaanapali area and have stayed in units along lower Hanopanali road many time, The unit Mahanna #815 is one of the best we have had. Its roomy with a great view. Its very well equipped, every kitchen item you need, nice TV in living and bedroom. With all the little electronics you might need. DVD, Radio, USB player, USB charge station etc.

The view, their pics say it all. You are literally 50 feet off the breaking waves and on the 8th floor at the perfect vantage point for whale watching, people watching or just letting the roar of the surf lull you to sleep. The lanai is a great place for a cool comfortable breakfast, as the direct sun does not swing around the building until the afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. And let me mention, the beach is walk-able for miles all the way down to the Sheraton at black rock. There are other complexes nearby with restaurants and shops that you can reach from the beach or the road. In fact, there is even a private gate, that allows a short 5 minute walk over to Duke's on the beach.

If you want, they have two barbecue areas, with well maintained gas grills. Gives you an answer for how cook your catch, if you were lucky on fishing activity.

Stunning views- ocean front condo

Our Return visit this August 2019 was better than last year.

This rental condo is fantastic. The Mahana-Ka'anapali is a wonderful first clas facility with many amenities besides it's location. My wife and I enjoyed 9 days of the best West Maui has to offer. The beach is only yards away from your lanai, with stunning sunsets every night viewed from the convenience of living the room or lanai.

Unit 114 is in excellent condition with all of the comforts of home. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. The living and dining rooms were furnished very well, so our time looking out the full glass west facing wall was most enjoyable. We also enjoyed having a washer a dryer handy to do a few loads of clothes/towels while we were there. The parking was a breeze as the unit is located at the end of one of the walkways to the building.

I can't say enough about the whole process. Alicia was very attentive to making sure we were checked in and didn't have any problems. We can't wait to come back. This was a vacation we'll...
