I was literally worried sick about coming here after reading reviews and our trip certainly was not ruined. I was pleasantly surprised about our oceanfront view and the fact there was a beach you could snorkel off of. Everything seemed clean (namely bathrooms and beds) and everything was in working order. We even had wifi that was free (I'm hoping Worldmark has finally started providing that for free at all locations). The lack of A/C was not a big deal, with the front screen door open (which locks), there was plenty of breeze to keep the room comfortable. The washer/dryer combo was huge and worked well. And the maintenance person was lovely. I'll explain why we had to use him... Upon arrival everything looked so clean and I was so relieved. After two days with us being extremely careful about cleaning up and not leaving food out we started seeing some tiny cockroaches. Okay fine, but then they got more plentiful and bigger. We contacted the front desk who got maintenance to come up relatively quickly who sprayed and put baits out. A couple days later we had more so another call to maintenance who tried some other means. We left three days later and in that time-no more bugs. I'm from Colorado-I don't do bugs, so should we expect to see some in Hawaii? Honestly, I'm not sure but I think the resort can do better. In terms of service, I am highly disappointed in how Worldmark is basically abandoning this property. Little details, especially in what you expect in quality from Worldmark is not there. We checked in before 5pm, but the fact that you even have to worry about timing seems a little nuts. We were given a set of beach towels and when asked where we could exchange for fresh ones we were told to wash them ourselves. Now I am perfectly capable of doing so and washed 3-4 times during our trip, but again for a "resort", this seems a little ridiculous. We still had a lovely trip, but Worldmark needs to do better with...
Read morePRAY YOU AVOID IT! This is the in-bread, red headed, stepchild with the "Catch-me-outside" attitude of the World Mark family. How they can subject their owners to this s&%it stain of a resort- motel is beyond comprehension. If you are lucky enough to have an elevator facing room you will have an amazing view of the beach, but thats THE ONLY upside to this dusty, run down, 1979 horror story, motel 666 disaster. Pay to get in, pray to get out; but before that, pray for wind because there is NO AC and a breeze blowing through your musty, leaky, sauna room will be all that can save you.
If you can get past the mild heat stroke and night sweats prepare yourself for the 8am, 2-stroke motor symphony of lawn mowers and leaf blowers aimlessly puttering around to enjoy over coffee...if you can get any coffee that is. We asked for an additional $1 bag of coffee for our 2 bedroom suite with 4 adults and were VERY in-politely denied.
Whatever your morning "pick-me-up" of choice, you will need your strength to fight the army of cocroaches swarming the fridge and cabinets.
Towels? You get 1 each, you can wash them yourself. Working stove? Lol, 2 burners out if 4 isn't bad right?
And if, for whatever reason you are so vacation happy that you can still muster a laugh at the end of the day - be sure to shut all that down by 9pm, please advise: Joy, laughter, general merriment of any kind is strictly prohibited.
As for Island hospitality, don't hold your breath. Absolutely any question or request is a terrible inconvenience to the goof troop of manic depressive, narcissistic sociopaths running this place. They enter your room without even knocking, completely fabricate "complaints" just to harass you if you have irritated them in any way and should you need to call the front desk, be prepared to be hung up on like I was tonight after hearing "I'm done with you"

Read moreWe decided to check out this WorldMark property as I am currently working as a travel RN here at the hospital.
The furnishing are similar to that of a low economy hotel. The window cranks were broken in the spare room. The screen door on the balcony and 2nd bedroom kept falling off. The linens are rough and the carpet smells old and musty. We also experienced a 5 hour power outage and there were no flashlights in the bedroom drawers. What's great about Worldmark is all units are relatively the same. This unit lacked in all categories except location.
The worst part is we brought our service dog. The front desk clerk left us a message stating the manager claims he saw us allow her to defecate on the lawn and not pick it up. This was absolutely not true. We carry bags on her leash and always pick up. My assumption is the Mgr saw HER urinating in a squatting position. When we tried to talk to him he refused to speak with us. Instead he had the front desk clerk tell us he would communicate through Worldmark. We have been owners since the 1990's. We have never had this kind of experience and we have stayed at many properties throughout the US. Do not visit this property if you have a service dog.
We were also harassed daily for having a service dog by the tenant in room 109. She made several comments stating Lexie was not even a real service dog. She further went on to tell us she is an owner here and we should leave. Service dogs alert their owners by way of pawing, jumping and barking to get their attention. Because of her hostile behavior she continued to bark.
This was one of the worst experiences in a Worldmark. I would recommend using the RCI exchange and staying somewhere else in Lahaina. Or head down to Worldmark...
