This location is horrible and needs to be shut down. There is no customer service and are very dismissive of their paying customers. I recently placed an online order and went to pick it up to go. I arrived and waited for the host to come to the counter and she asked me was I dining in or carry out. I told her that I had already placed and payed for a to go order. She asked my name and she went to the back to check. She came back and said that the order was not there. I showed her the online receipt and where I had payed for the food at the location. She said, It's not here and I can't help you. A large party arrived behind me and she proceeded to dismiss me and went to the person with the large group and asked them how many. I said excuse me, our business was not finalized. She ignored me and yelled for the manager and said very loudly, this group is mine and I need it and I have a problem that needs to be handled at the front... the manager was a young lady with a red shirt and I continued with her and had to reexplain to her the so called problem. I showed her my receipt and she went to the back and she told me that there was nothing that she could do but re take my order and pay for it again. I said no thank you, just give me a refund. She said that's not her problem and that I had to email ihop myself. She then proceeded to help the hostess with the large group that had arrived. I left very upset, hungry and disappointed about the whole experience. It had been the rudest experience I've had at an establishment. I wasn't expecting a fine dining experience or food but that was just outrageous. That whole place needs to be rehauled or just shut down if that's how they will run it. I should have just grabbed a breakfast burrito from taco bell from next door. The email response is a joke. I have yet to here from an...
Read moreMy hard working son who just graduated with honors and in piloting school visited this location after getting off work all night with 2 of his fellow coworkers who are all also in College & working part time. Upon arrival and being seated where told they would need to pay prior to being serviced. They asked 3 other adult customers that were there if they paid up front, all 3 said no! I also came up to Ihop 8mts later sat down and placed an order but was not asked to pay up front and when I bought this to managment attention. She goes and get a sign sitting behind the counter out of site stating that ALLL guest were to pay up front.. not just my 18 yrold african american son and his latino best friend. The sign was not posted for everyone to see. Very impartial profiling & singling out a certain group & unjustly requiring them to pay up front before being served. The reason given was that other groups of teens had walked out without paying...However, this action constitutes unfair profiling based on age, and it is discriminatory to assume my son would engage in similar behavior. IHOP's policy is to offer a hospitable dining experience to all guests, and charging someone upfront based on the actions of others is directly contradictory to this policy. This incident caused significant embarrassment and distress, and it is unacceptable to be treated with such suspicion and prejudice. I called there corporate office and was told that managment from this Showcase Boulevard location would contact me, that never happened..no care or concern from these people. Did corporate even follow up. No!
Do Not Patron This Location. You will be subjected to profiling . We will take our earned...
Read moreWhen I saw what was going on upon first entering the lobby, I should have just turned around and left - so being exposed to these slugs for more than one minute was my fault. When you walk into a large franchise for breakfast on a Friday morning and the place is empty, that says volumes about how they stink. So, I stood there like a jerk for 15 minutes in the lobby waiting to be seated for dine-in watching people come in and then leave. I was hungry, so I stuck around. No one in the place spoke English very well, but that does not trouble me since my family members were immigrants. We all come from somewhere. But, I don't like being scammed. If it takes 30 minutes to get an order placed for food and coffee and I am the only customer, there is something wrong. If you can't get a glass of water, cup of coffee or utensils - there's something wrong. If your bill reflects over 25% in taxes, there's something wrong. If you don't know the server's name and repeatedly ask for the manager but get rejected - there's something wrong. Here's what I'm used to: on a Friday at breakfast, the place should be packed (standing room only). If it isn't, that means either the service or the food really suck. There would usually be seniors groups (3 to 5 of those groups) getting together for breakfast (groups of 7 to 15 people each - or more). Construction people and jobbers would be coming in for breakfast and hotel people (from hotels across the street) should be flooding the place. If I am the only one in the place and can't get served - there's a problem. I have been eating at IHOP for decades, but that will change IMMEDIATELY! You should probably avoid this place and go to an actual...
