This was a good place to stay. The hotel staff was nice and professional. The hotel was okay for the most part it seem to vary with style and space compared to some other Staybridge hotels we have used in the past.. Staff members, Hayes & Nick were wonderful and the lady who coordinated the breakfast was pleasant and had a nice smile each day we saw her. Hayes was genuinely helpful when we reported our room issues and he helped with giving us ideals of tourist attractions and restaurant to visit. Nick was very kind and helpful while transporting us to Germantown and informing us of places to eat and shop in the area. He was very prompt and courteous and a safe driver. However, Upon arriving to the hotel at check-in I asked the front desk person to please make sure that we didn't have a room near the elevator. She assured us that we would not here any noise, from guest or the elevator. Our room was 224, and the living area is located on the back of the elevator wall, therefore we could hear the elevator as it went up and down the entire weekend. The bathroom was okay, but it appeared that the room hadn't' been used in awhile due to the excessive dust accumulation the tissue box not to mention there were only a couple tissues left in the box for use. Carpet needed replacing in an area of the living room area. However that's wasn't a major issue. "THE PLUMBING" from the bathroom sink where the bathtub is located was clogged up and leaking so badly we had to used towels to soak up the water underneath the sink onto the wooden shelves. We reported the matter to the front desk person Hayes who was very apologetic and said he would definitely get someone to check on this while we were inside the room. However at the time I reported the incident there where no rooms available for us to switch too. When we went back to our room the maintenance person had already been there but was not finished with the plumbing. Hayes did find another solution for us to change rooms, but it would be a different setting than what we initially requested. All in All the plumbing problem was fixed and we decided to stay in the room. Next time we will insist to have our room far away from the elevator & check plumbing upon arriving. This was a very nice hotel, it just happened to be our room that seem to have the problem this time. I would definitely recommend this location. The...
Read moreUpon arrival there was a smell that smelled like spoiled milk. When we went inside my husband and I noticed the it was pretty dark and not bright and vibrant like most hotels that we have stayed at. Most of the staff was nice but, there was one staff member that would rather hold her personal conversation on her cellphone then, to assist paying guests. The breakfast the 1st morning was horrible so, needless to say we did not try it again or any of the evening snacks. The room was semi clean but, not up to my standards of stay as we have stayed at other Staybridge hotels and other IHG properties all over the US that were much more updated and cleaner. When we checked into our rooms (as we purchased 2) we noticed a horrible patch job done on the ceiling in 1 just above the shower. On our last night that portion of the ceiling fell while our daughter was in the shower. She jumped out and ran to tell us. My husband went to look only to notice that there was black mold all in the ceiling and on portions that had fallen. He closed the door and went to advise the front desk of what happened. Although the offered to switch our rooms we opted not to due to the fact that it was 12:30 at night and our younger daughter was already asleep. The next morning we did everything requiring a restroom in the other room that we purchased for my mom and checked out early. The manager did offer to comp that night but, I do not feel that was enough because there is no way that you were never told there was mold in your ceiling!!!! You chose to just place a temporary badge on the problem. There is no telling if customers or inhaling this or not. I have been a travel agent since 2017 and my husband is a military veteran. Again, my husband and I have stayed at numerous hotels, this is been the worst by far. As well as this being a pet friendly hotel of which we have stayed in before but, I have never had the elevator or common area smell like wet puppies. I would definitely not recommend to any of my clients…. Not to mention being worried if your vehicle will get broken...
Read moreUpon arriving on the evening of Thursday, the front desk receptionist informed my husband and I not to park in the empty lot because our cars would be towed. So we were instructed to park our cars either on Staybridge or their affiliate parking lots since they both shared lots. Staybridge parking lot was occupied so we headed over to the affiliate’s lot. After circling both lots we noticed broken glass on the gravel of the affiliates parking lot. My husband and I parked our cars closer to the street lights and away from the glass. A few days later on Saturday morning there were a total of 24 car break ins around 2:00 am. Guest’s personal items were thrown onto the grounds alongside the shattered glass of their windows. My husband’s car was included in those 24 cars. The police was called and a police report was taken from my husband. I had to awake the front desk receptionist twice that morning to notify him of the vandalized cars on both lots. I mentioned to him that maybe he should tell the other guests that this was occurring but he didn’t. This man was half asleep 😴 and had to be awaken each time you walked up to the desk. I was told by him that the manager was coming later in the morning and I could speak with manager then. I went to the front desk around 8 am after getting a phone call from a lady from the front desk that my wallet was found on the ground. I asked about the manager but he never did show up. The receptionist told me she was texting the manager and giving him updates of the hotel. We didn’t get an apology from the hotel staff. The hotel’s security doesn’t cover the entire grounds of both lots to prevent future break-ins. This could have all been prevented if everyone was doing...
