Waffle House — Restaurant in Meridian

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Our waitress took 20 minutes to take our order and drink order. 30 more minutes to get our drinks and she brought HALF of our food out before the drinks. We were missing multiple items, I asked her plastic silverware she refused give me some. We waited over an hour to receive the rest of our food and my friends drink. Do not eat here, I asked to speak to a manager and he couldn’t help me. Some boy who looked younger than me came up and was of no help. And when I asked the other server to get him he ignored us and stayed on the grill. The only helpful person was the woman who greeted us on our way in. Our server was Mrs. Diane or whose ever name starts with a D and works night shift. Three tables who came in after us received their food before us. Our serve had the worst attitude and she ignored us after asking for our ticket to leave. We spent almost two hours trying to give her the benefit of a doubt but this was the worst service I’ve ever received. And on my way out the door she accused me of not paying after that horrible service without looking on the table to see the money along with the $1 tip I left her which she didn’t deserve. Literally yelling at me and my friend across the restaurant saying I didn’t pay. Worst service. Bad cold food. And...

I was one of the first to eat at a WAFFLE HOUSE in Meridian over by Massey's. It was jokingly called the WAFFLE HOUSE "in the hole". I have eaten in all the WAFFLE HOUSE's in Meridian and have had trouble with only one. NOW comes this so-called WAFFLE HOUSE by IHOP. I have eaten there twice and neither time was I impressed with food prep and service. Seems that either the cook or the waitress or both were hard of hearing or afraid to repeat the order to cook or cook not willing to ask to repeat. Nothing on my order was right and after sending it back twice, I just gave up (wife told me to hush)! When I complained that my steak was not medium rare but medium, ready for this, the waitress said she would have the cook, cook it a little longer. WHAT! Must be something new at the new WAFFLE HOUSE that they can un-cook a steak? I did, however, issued a complaint to the corporate hq. What an incredible first impression at Waffle House! My first visit to a Waffle House (location #2268) was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. The Egg and Bacon Bowl hit the spot, offering just the right amount of food, though a couple of extra tomatoes would've been a welcome addition.

The service was exceptional. Diane was a highlight—her politeness and humor made the experience even more enjoyable.

In the kitchen, Von the cook was a master of his craft. His calm demeanor and polite interactions were notable, as was his sharp ability to listen to food orders and provide insightful feedback.
