The Setai Ocean Suites — Hotel in Miami Beach

The Pros • Service: Outstanding across the board—valet, front desk, housekeeping, pool, and restaurant staff were all excellent. • Pool: Easily a 10/10. The pool staff were attentive and ensured we had towels, shade, menus, and regular check-ins. • Rooms: Clean, quiet, and refreshed multiple times a day by housekeeping, which was much appreciated. • Dining: We tried Japon, Ocean Grill, and the Setai’s main restaurant—all excellent. Highly recommend Japon for dinner, Ocean Grill for lunch, and the Setai main for brunch.

The Cons • Restaurant wait: Our Saturday reservation at Japon was delayed by 30 minutes. While the wait was frustrating, the great table location and catching the last two entertainment shows helped balance it out. • Room setup: Surprisingly, no full-length mirror in our junior suite, plus dim lighting made getting ready difficult. • Construction: The biggest drawback—loud construction went on all weekend. It was disruptive both in the room and at the pool, which took away from the relaxing atmosphere we’d hoped for. I did not book a $300 massage due to this reason. The Spa was on the construction side and I worried it would ruin the experience. I know this is out of their control but I wish there was transparency around it either on their website or during check in.

We were absolutely blown away by the extraordinary service, hospitality, and kindness we received from Li Yang during our stay at the hotel. Li went above and beyond to make our experience truly magical. He took the time to handwrite well wishes for every special occasion we celebrated during our stay, including my husband's birthday, our 9-year wedding anniversary, and my birthday. Li's attention to detail and genuine care for our comfort and happiness were evident every step of the way. He checked in on us regularly, ensuring that we had everything we needed and making us feel like royalty. I cannot express enough gratitude to Li for turning our hotel stay into an unforgettable experience. His warmth, dedication, and effortless hospitality made all the difference, and we will cherish the memories he helped create forever. OMG 😲 My friends and I were in Miami to celebrate our birthday, and we decided to try this place. This place absolutely blew our mind. Beautiful location! Looking at the ocean and we were having so much fun. Staff members are very professional and kind. The food, everything we ordered were amazing. I cleaned all of our plates.
