If I could give a less than one start rating…I would. My friends and I took a girls trip to Miami and strolled into this art gallery on a rainy day. I bought a new house and was looking for a new piece to add to my home…that was until I was greeted with pure disgust by the front desk workers. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. My friends and I mindfully and considerately shook out our umbrellas outside as the workers stood and stared with no acknowledgment of our existence. I turned to say hello and the workers immediately stated that we need to be mindful of our umbrellas with the “highly expensive” art….as if I didn’t just shake my umbrella out for a solid 30seconds outside. I asked if we could store our umbrellas anywhere…you would have thought I grew a second head the way the workers looked at me. It was at this moment I knew we were not welcomed. My friends and I grabbed our umbrellas and thanked the workers for absolutely nothing and left. If you’re in the area do not waste your time on bad greetings and frankly bad art…Miami has plenty of other places with warm greetings, great personalities, and better art. As Julia would say… huge...
Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment at the false promises made by Eden Gallery to a NFT community called the Meta Eagle Club (MEC) who trusted and believed in you. It is discouraging to see that you have not fulfilled your commitments and have disappointed those who had placed their faith in you.
As a gallery, you have a responsibility to not only exhibit the artists' work, but also support the project for which you raised $12Millions. Making false promises and not following through on them not only harms the community but also undermines the trust the public has in your Eden Gallery.
I urge you to take responsibility for your actions and work to rectify the situation. It is important that you communicate openly and honestly with the community and take concrete steps to make amends.
I hope you will take this issue seriously and work to win back the trust of 20,977 people waiting for your leadership. As a gallery, they have the potential to have a positive impact on the NFT art world and I hope they take the necessary steps to do so.
This project was performed by Gal Yosef and...
Read moreI have never been treated so poorly by any staff at any art gallery! My husband and I went to Miami recently. Knowing that we were interested in purchasing a piece of art on our trip, we tried to stop by Eden. Although it was still open, the woman at the front desk would not open the door. We stood outside for several minutes and she refused to even look up from the desk to acknowledge us at the door. We then walked around the building assuming there was another entrance. When we failed to locate another entrance, we went back to the front door and tried to be let in. Again, the woman at the front refused to even look at us.
We were not dressed like high rollers, so I assume the employee judged us based on appearance alone. Although I typically collect art from Pacific Northwest artists, like Mark Tobey and Morris Graves, my husband and I were looking to revamp our home with work from Alec Monopoly.
This type of behavior from gallery employees is what is wrong with the art world. The way I was treated was...
