Walking into the Lennox, you definitely get the boutique hotel vibe. You are greeted with luscious smells, a modern interior, and the pool area is incredibly inviting. The hallways are gorgeous and often covered in live wall features with custom lighting. The room itself compared to the halls was pretty average, but we enjoyed it. The proximity to the beach is incredible, and the location in general is really great.

There were several instances in which we felt like the hotel was misrepresented/inaccurate in the hotel description. There are no bathrobes or slippers in the room, despite them being listed as an item you get with the resort fee. It also says "breakfast in the room", which to me, implied room service. There is no room service. You can go to the hotel restaurant and bring your food to your room. We tried to get breakfast on the outdoor terrace at the hotel restaurant, Amalia, and did not have a good experience at all. We came in, sat at our table for over 15 mins, with not a single person acknowledging us with menus, water, or anything at all, so we left and went a block down the street to Maxine's, and were greeted and served within 15 minutes.

The last bit is a bit more personal but I feel compelled to share it for any potential new mothers out there.

I am a new mother with an 8-month-old baby girl. This was my first and only trip since giving birth. Given the national formula shortage, I am still breastfeeding her. I knew this might be complicated to accommodate logistically, so before I flew to Miami, I called the hotel to see if there was a freezer in the rooms. They said there was not, but that they could store the milk in the restaurant freezer. Relieved, I continued my journey, and made my way to the Lennox. When I was checking in, I confirmed again with the front desk that they could in fact do this. There was some back and forth and checking and stumbling around from the staff but they confirmed they could do it.

The next morning was a completely different story. Since I had handed off my cooler the previous day, all I had was a plastic bag containing two of my bags of milk. A man who seemed to be an attendant vs front desk staff asked how he could help us. I started with my story, and the man who had helped me with a smile the previous day approached the desk. I said “Oh! He’s our guy—he knows the situation.” I then started telling him how I had a contribution to make to the cooler. He looked at me like he had never seen me before, and almost seemed to visibly squirm at my presence. “This isn’t something we do…” he said, disgustedly, looking at the plastic bag I held. "Oh... it's just to add to the cooler, you took yesterday." I offered as I handed him the bag. He took it and held it away from his body like it contained human feces, and he just repeated "This just isn't something we do." .... Even though everyone I'd previously had contact with (including him!) assured me they could take care of it. Even though this was a hotel that I'd paid thousands of dollars to stay at on my first trip away from my daughter on my 5th anniversary weekend. I felt tremendously shamed by this man. This feeling stayed with me all day, and I couldn't shake it off. In my 8 months of being a mom, no one has made me feel more small and ashamed. On the flip side of it, I did chuckle to myself as I handed him the bag... I'm sorry, but providing for my baby is far more important than your discomfort.

The next day when I needed to make another contribution to the cooler, there was a very sweet lobby attendant who had seen the incident the previous day, and he agreed to help me immediately, no questions asked. This made me feel so cared for and relieved—nothing like I'd experienced the day before.

At the end of the stay, I did have my bag with over a dozen bags of frozen milk ready to go through airport security. But it was not without hardship and shame... and I'll never...

The Lennox Hotel, overall, is a good value for a hotel in the Miami Beach area, essentially standing at the end of South Beach and the beginning of Mid Beach (where things start getting nicer). The hotel is a good choice for those wishing to not spend too much money, but still stay somewhere with a luxury feel. The true luxury hotels of the area are significantly more expensive. While this hotel does have the small luxury hotel designation, there are both pros and cons to this property, and I am not sure it truly meets the baseline of that categorization - but it could, with some minor tweaks.

As far as pros, the ambience of the lobby, and the pool area, is sophisticated and serene. Many staff members are great in particular the female attendant at the pool who brings you food from the restaurant - please give her a raise on whatever you pay her because she really went above and beyond. You don’t often get service like that in Miami. Another pro is that the hotel is centrally located and you are within steps of hotspots like The Setai or 1Hotel, and you do have designated chairs on the beach although you are not on the beach (just a block away really).

The pool area is for the most part very quiet. There were only a few days where it got boisterous or loud and that was usually 4 pm or later. The bar only opens at noon and the lobby bar is only open on weekends. However, the drinks on property are very good and cheaper than many of the surrounding properties when available.

As to the rooms themselves, my room was very small, and did not even have a dresser. We ended up storing clothes in the safe and on top of the "desk". Granted, a number of hotels in the area are small so this is not completely unusual - but, if you plan on needing to do some work during your stay, you may want to work in the lobby as the desk is really too small to get anything done, and can feel a bit claustrophobic.

I will say, because the hotel is so small, there really needs to be implemented a policy of abandonment as to the pool chairs - specifically, if you leave for more than 30 minutes, you forfeit your chair (this is the case at some other area hotels, like The Standard). Our first few days, there was a large group that essentially colonized the two large chairs and left their belongings there all day and all night, which is a problem when there are so few chairs. Also, particularly when only a small fraction of those chairs even get any sun throughout the day. Then, the hotel emptied out, but as it got full again we again found ourselves unable to get chairs as they were claimed overnight by large groups.

In terms of another issue, the housekeeping at this hotel is severely lacking. The room was not so much cleaned as the bed was fixed and the towels were swapped but for example crumbs were left as was some trash. And there were two days where our room was not cleaned at all. So I do think they could stand to do a better job on this.

Overall though, if you are looking to stay somewhere nice, central, and somewhat quiet, this is a good choice for you. But you will miss out on many of the amenities of a hotel, like availability of food or drinks at a bar at more extensive hours. We found ourselves getting uber eats for breakfast and lunch on most of the days of our stay. Also, having a quick serve breakfast option - lets say coffee and pastries or little sandwiches in the lobby- may be a nice addition.

I give this hotel 4 stars but with a few changes, I think they could earn a 5 star...

Unfortunately we can’t give minus stars! This hotel deserves -5.

We stayed 4 nights in Lennox and only one reason we’ve booked this hotel were nice pictures and resort status. Well, this was not even close to what this hotel promises to provide to its guests. First of all we booked an expensive king size with balcony. We called before to make sure that our room would face pool or courtyard. This was confirmed, but after booking we called again and it was not sure any more, that we would get this type of room. We were told to call later. Well, 4 calls later very unpleasant person, who called himself manager, told us that our room would face to street, corner Collins and 19th. We talked him that on booking are still rooms available which are facing courtyard. He said booking made a mistake, then that he couldn’t open booking because this page was not loading. We ended in a very loud room, but asked for change as soon quiet rooms would be available. The neighbour bar our room is facing is that loud that you can’t sleep at all! It is Miami , sure, it could be loud outside. But the traffic or party people is one thing, a night club blowing you away from the bed with the loud beat Musik is another thing!!! I made a video how loud at was in the night but I can’t attached videos under review !

We spent 2 sleepless nights before we came to reception and insisted to get us any room which was quiet. We were downgraded to a quieter smaller room. But by check out I asked for partial discount/refund because the smaller room is cheaper that the paid big one we booked. And we got incredible 159$ refund by a bill of 2400$!!!! Great! Manager didn’t even want to talk to us - that shows what great service they practice in this hotel.

Now small list of issues: Rooms are very small Bathrooms are disaster: not only two people couldn’t fit at the same time. It is even difficult for one person! The door gets open not completely and it is not possible to use this room like normal bathroom. So called balcony is tiny and very dirty. Smell in elevator is just not acceptable disgusting. It smells like mix of burning plastic and urine. It smokes in elevator as well and it is very shaky so we were scared to use it. Vomit in elevator. Missing amenities in bathrooms. Not working hairdryer. So called closet doesn’t have space even for content of one small suitcase. Having no shelves at all! Staff!!!! Unfriendly, not interested to help or at least to pretend that they want to help.

All in one - stay away from this so called resort hotel!!! Too expensive, used up, loud, unfriendly, dirty.

Pics don’t show the reality in this hotel!!! Don’t get blended by internet presentation made by hotel!

The worst part for us was the attitude of all employees starting at reception and ending by manager. All these people were giving us different information and even lying.

I explain for myself all good reviews just by the fact that these guests didn’t get the loud hell of room which we did. But at least 70% of the rooms in this hotel are facing this extremely loud night club and ugly hvac of hotel. So the chance to get bad room is very high!

For this price you could easily find a great hotel in a traffic free or just in a calm zone directly...
