THE OWNER OF THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE IN JAIL. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING - DO NOT STAY HERE!!! By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in terms of customer service and cleanliness. We booked a suite with a terrace and were absolutely shocked by the condition of the room… The hallways smell musty and mildewy and are riddled with stains. Our room also had a weird smell but the real issue was the lack of cleaning that was done prior to us checking in. On the nightstand was a very suspicious looking white liquid… which tells us that they didn’t wipe any countertops off. There was a large clump of someone’s hair stuck to the bed’s headboard which was also torn apart as you can see in the photo. There wasn’t a single piece of furniture in the unit that didn’t have some sort of stain on it. The tile/grout in the bathroom shower clearly have never been deep cleaned to the point that we wore flip flops while showering. So many of the drawers had missing handles, the faucet in the bathtub is just open and exposed? The space between the tub and wall was full of dust and dirt. The white curtains in the living room were covered in dark stains and spots. The door to the terrace was broken and didn’t even lock, despite there being a sign asking to keep it locked. The wood on the picnic table and benches on the terrace were completely broken and cracked so couldn’t even sit out there. The terrace was INFESTED with huge ants crawling all over the place, making it impossible to be out there. We had a beautiful view of the disgusting ledge beneath our terrace that had a random hanger and jug left on it? There was a piece of chewed gum stuck on the bottom of the kitchen chairs. Probably the worst thing we noticed was the black mold spreading all across the windows???? Love breathing in mold on vacation. To top everything off… we noticed a loud beeping in our room every night before bed. It drove us crazy for two days before we noticed that it is the entrance to the CVS directly below us. Every single time someone walked into CVS, you heard a loud beep that even the TV and Dan couldn’t drown out. It made it impossible to relax/fall asleep to the point that I had to sleep with my AirPods in. On our second day, we got back from the beach and our room keys stopped working. After waiting around forever, they finally sent the maintenance guy up to charge the lock on our door bc it died.... Then he realized he forgot to grab the charger so we ended up waiting around for him AGAIN while he took his sweet time. The front desk had the worst attitudes when asked the most simple questions. They make it seem like you are inconveniencing them with your questions. The guys working the door are horrible… incredibly rude, literally were never outside, and would never hold the door open. On our last day, we stored our suitcases in the back after checking out. When we came back to pick them up and head to the airport, there was no one around to unlock the door for us. It took almost 20 minutes for someone to finally come down and let us get our bags. Thankfully we gave ourselves enough time but they clearly have no sense of urgency or accommodation. The only thing it has going for it is the location which is right in the middle of everything. I would never ever stay at this hotel again and would HIGHLY recommend against it if you are looking for a clean, relaxing hotel to stay at. Pictures included to back up all of my complaints. Honestly this hotel should be reported to the health department for making their guests breathe in mold.

I would like to discuss my experience while staying at Boulan Miami Beach. First, it’s been six consecutive days that I’ve been told management will get in touch with, but nothing has been. Truly unacceptable and it is clear the owners of the apart/hotel are ‘juveniles’ lacking the competency to provide they advertise on website and other sources. This was my first time staying at Boulan Miami Beach. I relied on reviews and assumed that paying a premium nightly rate (close to $500 a night) would ensure a comfortable vacation in Miami Beach. However, this was not the case from the moment I entered my room upon check-in. (Room 209) Upon entering room 209, the first thing I noticed were disturbing stains on the purple couch in the living space. I asked the reception downstairs to switch rooms but denied my request. I then asked to assist in providing sanitary supplies, however it never came. So, I took it upon myself to go to CVS and purchase Lysol to disinfect the whole space. In addition, this was quite embarrassing for me since I had a guest joining me. We were both very uncomfortable to say the least. In addition to the filthy couch, The cooling system did not work at all throughout the stay. We even had called maintenance to come and fix the issue, but it still said “maintenance required” on the cooling system. My guest and I had slept in 85 degree humid weather both nights, and I’m sure any reasonable person can understand the discomfort in that, especially when you’re trying to enjoy a vacation. When we decided to check out the rooftop pool and jacuzzi. We came to realize there was no jacuzzi, the water looked filthy, and the benches had rips and tears through them. This is not what I expect from a 4 star apart/hotel. I did not use the pool once and was limited to the beach seating. I found all of these problems unacceptable. I had asked to speak to a manager at 7am since I couldn’t sleep. I was told he/she would be in at 11am. I was also assured I would receive a call, but never did. I have been trying to communicate with this apart/hotel, but I still have not received anything besides them telling me “ a manager will reach out shortly”. I have attached pictures documenting some of the material issues I experienced while staying at Boulan Miami. The space I had rented for the weekend was definitely not as advertised in the photos on the company website, reviews, or hotel description. It is clear to me that the room was inhabitable. I probably should of left after the first night, but I didn’t want to spend the limited amount of time I had in Miami doing moving hotels back and forth. I thought the staff would accommodate, but it never happened. I was in a position where I would lose precious time and money no matter what decision I made. I’m hoping that someone working in management would return my emails and calls, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t hear back. This review is not intended to defame Boulan Hotel or their management staff. I’m simply telling readers my personal experience, and prevent others from experiencing what happened to me.

The room smelled like rotten eggs. I was told I had to leave for a while set up an ozone machine. There was hair in the tub from the previous guest – picture attached There was other dirt in tub – picture attached The bedroom TV didn't work for 2 out of 4 days. The curtains are raggedy with holes in the them, broken off the hardware and hanging down – picture attached. The fridge had a headache inducing bleach smell. It’s great they clean with bleach, but the smell never died down and was extremely strong every time I opened the door. Why wasn’t some of this bleached used in the bathtub? The towel racks were hanging off the wall in the smaller bathroom. The couch cushions are worn out, lop sided and very uncomfortable with no support. The mattress is old, worn out and has a dip in the middle that you roll into. It's definitely time to change the mattress. Sleeping was very uncomfortable. The drawers on the nightstand were assembled incorrectly as they close on top of each other without proper clearance – picture attached. The drawers in the closet were assembled incorrectly as they close on top of each other without proper clearance – picture attached Paint is peeling on the living room ceiling – picture attached Housekeeping supposedly cleaned the room each day, but yet the kitchen sink and shower floor weren't cleaned for 3 days as the same hair was in the same place each day. Out of 5 lights in the rooftop terrace staircase, only 1 light worked. Maintenance supposedly fixed it, but as soon as he left, some lights still didn’t work. The bathroom light stopped working. The bedroom lamp didn’t work. The housekeeper never left hand towels in either bathroom. The housekeeper never left soap or a hand towel in the kitchen. The housekeeper never left soap in the small bathroom The pool was closed during one of the days. The hot tub was roped off with yellow tape, there was mold on the pool tiles, stuff was floating in the pool and the lounge chairs were dirty. Having to wait in the room while the housekeeper cleaned because she didn't come while I was out, and while the engineer had to come fix many broken things was very inconvenient and wasted so much of my time. Locks on the rooftop door were very hard to open with no instructions. You couldn't lock this door from the outside. The maintenance man and housekeeper don't speak English and didn’t understand anything I said about problems in the room. This communication barrier was very frustrating. Both living room balcony doors don’t lock and maintenance could never fix it. One balcony door didn’t close without slamming into the latch leaving an inch gap. You need strong muscles to open the 3 large balcony window shades. The window shades are old, frayed/ripped, dirty, and the hardware out of alignment. The coating on the bathroom tub is peeling in multiple areas – picture attached The shower floor looks gross with mold and needs to be replaced – picture attached Paneling at the top of the door is missing coming out of the bathroom. It looks really bad. The housekeeper never cleaned the shower or kitchen sink. Hair and sand remained after she left. Elena told her to come back and do a “deep clean” and the hair was still there. Then she sent 2 other housekeepers. When asked to see another room to possibly switch rooms, I was shown PH4, which was horrible also, having the following issues: The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The door to the washer/dryer was locked and couldn’t be opened. Neither TV worked There wasn’t a lock on one of the balcony doors. There was just an open hole where the lock should be. The girl that showed me the room had a nasty attitude. I shared the issues with Martina (I may have it spelled wrong) and Elena. PH5 needs many repairs, the furniture is old and needs replacing. I asked Emma the manager for 50% back due to the issues and she never responded. I would never stay here again. What a...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Boulan for five days, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. My family and I were deeply dissatisfied and frustrated throughout our stay, as the hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality. Despite our efforts to address our concerns, the hotel staff's response was utterly unsatisfactory and displayed an unprofessional attitude.

Right from the moment we arrived at the hotel, we encountered an appalling level of customer service. The front desk staff were immediately defensive and rude when we tried to discuss our concerns about the room. Their behavior escalated to the point of becoming loud and confrontational, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. We were simply seeking assistance regarding the incorrect room assignment and the poor condition of the room we were provided.

The primary issue we faced was that the room we received did not match the description and images presented on the hotel's website. It was significantly smaller than advertised and lacked the two beds, including the promised pull-out couch. This discrepancy caused immense inconvenience, as we specifically chose this room type for the additional sleeping space it was supposed to provide. To make matters worse, upon entering the room, we were greeted with a shocking level of dirt and sand scattered throughout. It was abundantly clear that the room had not been adequately cleaned or vacuumed for a considerable period of time, failing to meet even the most basic cleanliness standards.

To our horror, the condition of the couch in the room was absolutely repulsive. It was stained with multiple white marks that appeared to be bodily discharges, emitting an unpleasant odor. This raised serious concerns about the overall hygiene of the room and left us feeling disgusted and uncomfortable using the furniture. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. Our examination of the bedsheets and pillowcases revealed the presence of hair and more sand, indicating a complete lack of attention to detail in the housekeeping process. The accumulation of such debris only added to our disappointment and intensified the overall sense of uncleanliness within the room.

The bathroom experience was equally nightmarish. One of our party members discovered numerous small bugs crawling all over the glass door and walls when attempting to use the shower. This unhygienic situation was completely unacceptable and left us feeling deeply unsettled. As if that wasn't enough, the bathroom door had been damaged prior to our arrival, making it impossible to latch or secure while using the facilities. The lack of privacy persisted throughout our stay, compromising our comfort and peace of mind.

When we finally mustered the courage to voice our concerns to the morning desk clerk the next day, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude and an unwillingness to address our grievances until after our second night's stay. It was only after significant persistence that she reluctantly offered to change our room. However, by that point, we had already unpacked and endured half of our stay in highly unsatisfactory conditions.

My family and I strongly advise against choosing the Boulan for your accommodation needs. The hotel's inability to deliver on its promises, coupled with the unprofessional behavior of the staff, made our stay a complete disaster. It is evident that cleanliness, hygiene, and customer satisfaction are not priorities for this establishment. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment by avoiding the Boulan...
