Hotel Miami Springs inn — Hotel in Miami Springs

I had a one-day layover in Miami and decided to pick this hotel due to low price. Boy, was that a mistake?|Even the Uber driver who dropped me off said to me, as I left his car, "Good luck."|I didn't want to be judgemental in any way upon arriving, because this looks to be a family hotel. The people at the front desk are very nice. |My problem was the cleanliness and the room I stayed at per se. I do not know if all of the other rooms look like the one I stayed in, but just for you to have an idea, there are 2x4's holding the bathroom window together, one of the bedroom windows is broken, the TV only plays 2 local channels (even though they say they have cable). But you won't be able to change through channels because the remote control doesn't work. The TV sits on this broken down desk that looks like was bought at a Good Will store 30 years ago. The bedroom curtains are thin and smaller than the windows, so forget about privacy altogether. |The bathroom was so dirty that I only took a shower because I REALLY needed to. Still, I did so with flipflops on. I'm not kidding, there were even things written on the bathroom walls!|While there, a guy from extermination knocked on my door to spray for roaches. I asked him if the room didn't have to be vacant before they sprayed any chemicals. He said, "you will change your mind once you start seeing roaches." So I let him in to spray. |Once that happened, I couldn't stop itching. I had already put 2 towels down on the bed to attempt to fall asleep until my time was up to head back to the airport, but as you may have already guessed, I left before that could happen. |I should have never left the airport altogether. Even finding a place to eat around there was a struggle. The only thing close by is a gas station, about 4 blocks away. If you want to eat real foods you need to take a Uber. I didn't feel safe staying in that part of town either... it was such a bad experience!|I kind of feel bad writing this review because like I said, the people are really nice, but I think they should spend some of the money that they make from the business to invest back into their business. |Other than everything I said, everything else...

My sister was staying here and we were staying in two totally different rooms something happened with my sister when she owed money on the room and some other transaction that they were talking about and fat ass Lewis come to my door talking to me about my sister room which I don't care it didn't have anything to do with my room I got kicked out of my room because my sister old money on a room and plus they said that she disputed a transaction with her car when she paid for her room let me repeat which didn't have anything to do with my room lowest cost the police tell them that he wants me out tomorrow morning at 9 in the morning and had attitude the night before when when he call the police and came banging at my door while I had company and plus my two year old son to sleep at 12 at night and had an attitude very nasty and he told them that I was Guilty By Association because it was my sister so I got kicked out of my room even though my room was paid up for 2 days and then he tells me he's going to refund my money to my friends card I have my friend called him and he tells him there is no refund so he basically kept money for a night that I was not there I would not recommend for anyone to go to this place it is very dirty housekeeping doesn't clean your room and on top of that they mop the floor with a broom and a cloth that's how they make their floors and also Lewis promotes prostitution at the hotel he will come and literally knock at your door and ask if you're dating and that he met some people in the office or people that live there or reside there at the hotel and asked me if you want to do a date with him the place is horrible I stayed there for months and I pay for my room I spent a lot of money there and I have to get kicked out because it's something that someone else did because they are my family member they really didn't deserve a star I just had to put a star to be able to...

This motel is why I don't generally believe testimonials or reviews. Anyone can be paid to leave a positive review. Considering our experience, I believe someone was VERY WELL paid.

I expected this motel to be sketchy, but this exceeded my expectations and wildest dreams. It was unbelievably bad. I'll start with the high points: We needed a ridiculously late check in. The room was next to the office, where the manager taped our room key to the wall behind the coffee machine. It was very near the airport. Over the noise of the ac unit and bathroom fan, we barely heard the car alarms.

Now for the bad... I knew when we walked up at 1 am and there was no door on the office, we were in for a treat. The key was where the manager left it. We opened the door about halfway, because the bed was in the way, and squeezed in. All the lights and the TV were on - we assumed to keep the critters at bay. The paint on the walls was cracked and crumbling, as was the floor. I hope what looked like blood on the curtains was not blood. We were exhausted, with no alternate plan, so we piled everything up on the table, left our clothes on, and slept (if you can call it sleep) on top of the bedspread with towels as pillows, and all the lights and tv on. We didn't touch any more surfaces than we absolutely had to.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this motel for anything but condemnation and destruction. I'm surprised whatever agency that inspects these places allows this motel...
