I had to really take time to write this review because I feel traumatized from my experience. Although at the end management did the right thing by providing me a full refund for the one night stay I still want to warn others about this hotel. Every Hyatt I ever stayed at has always had high standards, not this Hyatt! Our room had to be changed theee seperate times upon arrival due to the lack of cleanliness of each of the rooms, by the 3rd room me and my sister just settled. Every single room had stained walls, carpeting, and stained pillow cases, grossss! It was disgusting. I did attach photos. The house keeping staff does not speak English and they were so defensive and rude! The one lady really started to get nasty upon our third room despite me and my sisters showing her what was wrong with the other rooms!!!! It’s like they didn’t care that their rooms was disgusting!
We stayed one night, the next morning I went down with my sister who is allergic to eggs and pork, prior to booking this hotel we called and asked if they offered pancakes or waffles, they confirmed every morning they did, well this morning they did not, my sister had nothing to eat, they did offer her a muffin that they were selling. I ate the eggs and potatoes, 30 minutes later my stomach was killing me, I ended up getting food poisoning. My sister went down stairs to inform them that not only did they offer us dirty rooms, they now gave me food poisoning. Well they were defensive and rude, they did check us out (which left us having to quickly find somewhere to finish our stay at) but still charged us the night stay and told me to follow up with management on Monday. I couldn’t even argue bc I was pale and wanting to pass out! They weren’t even apologetic! Instead when I finally came down stairs to confront them myself I caught them talking about me and my sister, i was given dirty looks the entire time, it was so evil! I ended up throwing up and on the toilet all day that day, really ruined my Miami experience!
Also, although this is close to the airport it is far from the fun stuff on South Beach. You also are forced to pay parking daily!!! Which makes zero sense because you’re so far from the main things in Miami!
All in all, they did refund us the entire trip on Monday when management came in. I did reach out to corporate and still waiting for their reply. I am saddened by this experience but I really wanted to share in hopes to save someone a headache. Our stay was 12/9/23 to 12/10/23. Be careful when...
Read moreFirst of all, my wife and I have stayed at multiple Hyatt hotels all over the United States and have never had a bad experience until now.
Upon arrival, the first young lady who checked us in was pleasant. We got to our room and it wasn’t bad, but could have certainly been cleaner. The biggest thing noticed was the cleanliness of the toilet.
We went back to the lobby area to eat, I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and my wife ordered the flatbread. Both tasted fine, my wife never got a refill and had went up front to look at the dessert bar and spotted a cookie we would share.
After a few more minutes, we got the bill and charged it to our room. We went back to the dessert bar to buy a cookie, there was one man behind the counter on the phone and a young lady working behind the counter, who didn’t seem like thrilled to be working there nor too friendly. We waited behind the dessert bar to be helped and another customer walked up to the register and she helped him first, then got us the cookie.
We went back to our room and went to bed. My wife then got sick several times in the night from food poisoning from the flat bread. We contemplating saying anything to the staff because we understood that it wasn’t anything intentional but after her being stuck in our room bathroom till 3 o’clock in the afternoon on our first day of vacation, we decided to.
After she was able to get ready, we told the front desk what happened. The manager quickly stepped in and said they aren’t a full service kitchen so everything is precooked, and that there was no way of us to know that it was food poisoning from the flatbread and they had served multiple last night and that as a matter of fact, he just ate one himself. My wife told him that she was absolutely sure that was what it was because she puked it all up and tasted it all morning. They issued a refund for the flatbread and told us they would make a note of what happened.
I just feel like of all the Hyatt’s we have stayed at, this has been the worst one we have stayed at and will do our research before we stay at...
Read moreI read millions of reviews, looking for the prefect hotel in Miami, pre-cruise. I chose this one because of price and location. We enjoy watching planes. I requested a room with an airport view. I reserved 3 rooms and wish the others had the same view. Some of the reviews complained about noise. None of us had an issue with noise. We all live in the (quiet) country, not used to city life. The highway and the airport weren't very much noise. The rooms were cleaner than I expected. They have a late check out (noon) so we all hung out in our room (10 of us) before our cruise. The rooms are very spacious. I am ocd and have issues with seeing things that need to be cleaned. Nothing bothered me. My complaints would be the air conditioner was either very cold or super hot. The very cold did not last long and I can not sleep hot. None of us in any of the three rooms could get the temperature comfortable. There were three pillows on each bed and they were very flat. We wished that there was another pillow. The pillows also had a old, used smell. That didn't feel clean. The TV had an issue too, it would turn off about every hour. Any time you turned it on, it would go to the static/loud screen, oh the highest volume. It would not mute or turn down and would stay like that for a few seconds. I could not sleep because of the temperature issues and when I would turn the tv back on, it would wake everyone up. It was very frustrating.
We stayed here for the night before a Disney cruise. It was too expensive to rent a car for the night so we used Uber for the first time. I had one pick us up and take us to dinner, one to pick us up from dinner and bring us back. It was a project so overall, I had wished that I just ordered pizza to be delivered, instead. I then had one take us to the port. When leaving the port, there is a taxi line so we just went in that and were able to get straight into a taxi to take us to the airport. We were last off the ship and still got to the...
