This will be long. First we paid $45 for an early check in. When we arrived we were happy that our room seemed to be clean and comfortable. Then our child opened a drawer and found a bag of drugs. Luckily he was smart enough to not touch it and come tell us. Had our toddler found it and put it in his mouth, the outcome could have been very different. I immediately went to the office which was filled with towels and sheets. This place has no management. Zero security! When we called the 3rd party that we booked through, they could not even confirm that there was a narcan kit on site. My child would have overdosed before paramedics arrived. We were given a new room. The cleaning crew was left to deal with the drugs. Within that time we were approached by a homeless man who we had seen wandering the walkways outside of the rooms. He walked all four levels. He asked for pen and paper. Then, when we didn’t have it he walked off of the property. There was a towel laying on the floor stained brown in our room. When we asked for it to be removed the lady happily scooped it up and told us it was from the rain to protect the floor. The fire detector constantly beeped until we got a new battery and replaced it ourselves. We did not expect the ritz but this is the single worst hotel experience I have ever seen. We were very quickly refunded the initial cost of the room but not the early check in fee. For all of the replies to the bad reviews “we don’t understand, your stay was great” that’s a crock! We saw drug deals happening in the parking lot, there are people living in the parking lot. It is attached to public beach access. Part of their parking lot is meters to pay to park for the beach. There was a green truck with a couple camped tailgating from the time we got there around noon until we left at about 9 the next morning. Please don’t take your family to this place! I guess it’s great if you want to do drugs and party but it’s not a place for families. Also, the pool is filthy, the bottom covered with some kind of scum. Don’t get me started on the furniture inside the room. You can tell what’s...
Read moreThe best part about this was the view, the a/c actually being cold, and check in. The room (314) is disgusting and has black mold in here. The only reason I stayed is because my booking was nonrefundable! Imagine that!!! Upon my check in the sliding door was left open, it also is messed up because you can see wind blowing the curtains in the middle when closed. This room has previous MAJOR water damage that was just painted over! The mini split in the room leaks a ton of condensation. Shower floor is angled away from the drain so the water pools, and same with the balcony, it too pools with water and others must too because as I was sitting in the rusty broken chair I was being splash with water from the room above me! There are two 3 outlets in this room, one is tucked behind the bed with no accessibility, I pushed the bed and lo and behold under the beds haven’t been swept. I refused to take my shoes off walking around this room. The tv remote is caked in others filth, so much so I put a bag around it to use it. Pool- no thank you. It looks gross. Not mossy or green but not appealing either. Also hope you’re not a fall risk because the floor in front of the rooms and the stairs are like laminate and not slip resistant! Only some of the stairs have grip tape to prevent you from slipping! If you don’t slip, you just might trip up or down the stairs because the stairs are also uneven!! The beds are great either, I think the box spring on the mattress I slept in is broken because you very noticeably sink into the bed compared to the other side. I wouldn’t stay in this place again. I’d rather spend the little extra money and get a different hotel, even if it’s...
Read moreWe booked a room for a girls weekend and we were relieved to find the motel was not nearly the nightmare the other reviews made it out to be. The beds were sufficiently comfortable but the pillows were AWFUL. I’d suggest bringing your own from home. The location cannot be beat! Staying steps from the ocean is perfect. Shoot for a room with a balcony for lovely ocean views. While we were relieved it wasn’t as bad as others made it out to be, we did have a few minor critiques based on our experience.
First off, it is true that there is no staff onsite aside from cleaning staff. Speaking of the cleaning staff, it seems they only come to clean after guests check out which was slightly annoying. We at least wished they would include a broom to get rid of the sand that accumulates during the span of a beach trip.
Second, there are no full length mirrors or other mirrors aside from the one in the bathroom. Being that we had 3 women total sharing the room, it was a minor inconvenience when getting ready to head out. I’d suggest bringing a handheld mirror if there’s more than 2 staying in the room.
Third, there were no outlets by the beds so if you are like us and are used to scrolling on your phone to fall asleep/wake up, you’d better make sure your phone is sufficiently charged!
All in all, this was a cheap option that exceeded expectations for a quick girls weekend and we all...
