I'm sorry but this place is rough. First off, you have to enter a hotel to access the pizza joint, this would be fine if the pizza was amazing but I assure you, it's.... ok. Upon entering the restaurant you will be greeted by nobody. I stood there waiting for someone for about 3 minutes to be greeted and charged for my pizza and garlic parmesan wings. I had to ask to pay. I did not receive the pizza and garlic parmesan wings for another 15 minutes. These are reasonable times for your average pizza place considering I showed up about 5 minutes after calling ahead. But what I observed while I was there was beyond unacceptable. The severe amount of black mold on the ceiling around the air ducts was unacceptable and disgusting. The team members were dressed in casual clothing with their hair hanging down over their shoulders and we're not wearing gloves when handling the food. This is upsetting for both the hotel and the restaurant itself. Considering they prepare package and serve food to the general public and a place that has active black mold spores on the ceiling is very disgusting. You will see the black mold in the pictures above, with this said I do not believe this place should be open. When it comes to the food the pizza was subpar, considering I was extremely hungry it was okay but the dough tasted a bit weird and it had a crunchy and soggy sensation at the same time. The sauce cheese and pepperoni were probably the best part. The wings smelled kind of funky almost like pickled sausage. The taste was okay but the bones split in half without any effort at all almost as if they were overcooked. It reminded me of wings that are baked then stored in a refrigerator and then refried for an excessive period of time. The garlic parmesan sauce was delicious above everything else. They did get my order wrong forgetting some of my sauces which I reminded them of and they replied with anger and denial. "Did you look inside the box?" I said yes you guys forgot my sauce and I would really like some. The team member behind the counter commented behind my back as I was walking away that "wow he didn't even tip" after I left a cash tip of $4 in the jar. The price of almost $40 for only a subpar pizza and mediocre wings is very disappointing and I'll be sure to never order from mamma Mia's pizzeria the next time I visit...
Read moreWhile staying at the hotel directly next door to this location we placed an order online through their embedded app chownow which only allowed for delivery and no pick up. Once it was placed, the app shows an estimated time of completion and arrival which was about an hour. Typical I assumed for dinner time. So we waited and checked the ticker which continued to count down, eventually indicating the food had been delivered. 10 min went by and no food had actually made it to the door. We called reception to see if it had been delivered there accidentally and it hadn't. I then called the pizza shop and, was placed on hold. For a while. Long enough that I hung up and called back to which the woman sounded surprised I hung up and called back. I then said we had made an order via the app and hr ago, and it had not yet been delivered though their app said it had. The woman on the other end talked to someone else in the location and then came back saying that the order has never been processed. They had received the order, but it was never tended to. Yet the app was merrily reporting it had been delivered. She then offered to remake it and the wait time would be another 30 min. At this point with a hungry family of 6 I accepted but requested to talk to the manager. Who apparently wasn't there. She assured they would call back (spoiler- no one ever called back) 15 min later our order showed up at our door with a delivery person. I asked yet again to have the manager call me and he assured they would. (See above about how that turned out) I'm sorry to the delivery driver for neglecting the tip. I was very flustered at the time and that is atypical. Maybe in lieu of the refund I'll never get, your manager can take from what we were charged to tip you...
Read moreSo, I have reviewed a ton of Pizza Restaurants over the years. This restaurant concerned me right out of the shoot because I called thinking I could order it on the drive to their location and I arrived 12 minutes and 38 seconds later and I was still on hold? When I told the young man that was working there that I was the customer on the phone still on hold he just looked at me very puzzled and said would you like to order lol??? Anyway, we placed our order and he said it would take 45 minutes before it was ready. We simply waited because we were already there. We ordered a Chicken Alfredo type pizza and a classic Pepperoni. They had drinks available in cans and 2 liters so we also chose a 2 liter of the sprite alternative. It did take about 40 minutes and we were on our way. Overall the pizza was not the best or worst that I have had. It had a pretty good flavor and was close - so let's add in the convenience factor at lunch time. If you get the special it is not a bad deal and if you are hungry you wouldn't be disappointed - if you get the deal. Pro tip: give yourself an hour from when you want the pizza and going there may be faster than ordering on the phone if one person is working. Their online ordering function was not working...
