I went there for 4 days ended upleavi g after 2. They refused to refund my sponsor and also they are supposed to stamp my tickets for the parking garage across the street so jm only charged 70 rather than 100 however they put a very soft stamp on the ticket then the parking garage charge us fullprice and refuse to do anything at all other than send me on my way after giving them over 200 + great tips and treating them with respect for 2 days. The garage across from this place has the worst reviews ever from robbing people and screwing everyone in so many ways so anyhow…. This hotel chooses to collaborate with them knowing this… so why not stamp my garage ticket a bit harder so I not get charged full price by them? Also they were kinda rude about me asking if they would send out a refund for the days I not use which is from a nonprofit that helps people. Too bad they can't help ppl that do t even use 2 days and they just say sorry too late???? Too late how we left in time where you could book people in for both days but not even help on 1. Shame on them. Also the rooms are smaller than any hotel I've ever stayed in in my entire life and the shower Dont drain. Make sure you got some plastic bags wrapped up to your shins or higher if you plan to take a shower there unless you don't mind marinating in the filth of 1000000000 other previous guests that were there before you. Also the bedsheets had many dif color pube hairs all over the blankets. It looked as if somone literally just remade the bed for the last 10 guests and there was a yellowish brown tint to the bedding. I'm not a picky person and like I said this hotel was taken care of by a nonprofit for me but there is nowhere to park at all there and there buddies that they Recomend you to park at are horrid so I Dont know I'm just going to say be careful Here and they Dont give you toothpaste and its over 200.00. I felt like I was in a prison cell. I'm in a hotel that's minutes away in a huge sweet with on site parking that has full access to your car whenever you want with king size bed and beautiful tub and separate shower and separate bathroom with toilet and just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more and it only coated me 180 for the night compared to that place that's well over 200 for a nasty prison cell that frankly stinks in every way. Ohh and my hotel I'm at has beautiful balcony with a great view and smoking and a sliding door and there's u can't even open the window because there's some kind of strange lock on it as if they Dont trust there customers to open it that are paying them and there garage buddys over 300-400 plus per...
Read moreRoom: I do believe we got a slightly smaller room than what we booked, nonetheless they honoured my request to have a room away from the elevators and situated on a high floor. It did feel small for two people but we were out most of the time anyway. Two people can't really use the bathroom at once - that small! We didn't really hear any noise from the other rooms - we loved that each floor has only 4 rooms! We didn't get a good city view (just the opposite residential building) you get what you pay for, really.
Breakfast: Ok, so the room is indeed tiny and I calculated that it takes up to 22 people only so definitely go down early if you want to have your breakfast seated. We stayed for 10 days and the breakfast options never changed. Everyday it was turkey bacon and scrambled eggs, instant oatmeal, bagels and toast, waffles, coffee, tea, juices and yogurts. You just have to get a bit creative with it but hey it's free! :)
Area: We read quite a lot of reviews that the area feels unsafe. We were always so tired and cold from a day of sightseeing that we never really got back to the hotel at late night. Since it is a side street it gets quieter and darker yes but we didn't feel unsafe. Plus, 2 Bros Pizza is by the corner we looooved going there for a dollar slice cheese pizza when we got hungry
Overall, the staff was very nice, didn't have any issues with getting back the security deposit, the check-in/out process was fast and smooth. The receptionist offered us to pre-book the room cleaning which was great, we just gave them a heads up before to make sure we were booked. It pretty much had everything we needed at a great price! If you're looking for a budget friendly hotel in Midtown I highly recommend it and would...
Read moreThe hotel and rooms are clean and modern, but very small. When i checked in, I immediately went to my room and the temperature was at 77° so i lowered it to 65°, a half hour later i had to leave to meet friends and the temperature went up to 79°! I informed the front desk about the issue that the air conditioner wasn’t working and the employee behind the front desk reassured me the issue would be fixed when I returned. I returned 5 hours later to find my room temperature still warm at 79°! I went back to the front desk where different employee was and he told me that maintenance is not working since it’s after hours and I’d have to wait until the morning to have the issue fixed if no functional air conditioning! No offer of room change or anything. I was expected to sleep in a stuffy hot room instead of switching rooms. I had to argue to get a room change, I mean not for nothing i was paying for the room to sleep since I literally was only staying overnight and checking out the following morning so waiting for maintenance wouldn’t have worked since I checked out at 6am the following morning. I wound up getting a new room after an hour of waiting in the lobby and The bed is so uncomfortable I didn’t wind up getting much sleep. I checked out the following morning and it was the same employee who I had initially told about the air conditioner who hadn’t done anything. He never looked up from his computer I had told him I was checking out he never looked up, said “ok” and took my key and continued what he was doing and never received a receipt of checking out. My next stay is stay elsewhere after all...
