The headshots are very special to me, because I gave them as gifts to my team. I wanted to give them something valuable to say thank you for all they’ve done. I wanted something long term that was a special thing for them.

I did an extensive search. Let me just say this, there are a lot talented people out there but when I saw Alissa’s work, I knew she was the photographer for us! I love that she is so authentic. She represents herself and her brand really well. She really did have such expertise and she was such a blast to work with.

My connection to Alissa was so immediate. From the first emails with her, she was so gracious with schedule changes. She did a great job pivoting with my team’s calendar.

Both Alissa and Danielle, her makeup artist, were so flexible with the schedule. That really spoke to me and how she interacted with her makeup artist, Danielle.

Danielle and Alissa worked so well together. The only thing I have to compare it to was the last time I did headshots at our corporate setting. It was a very different experience. I never saw anyone do headshots this expeditious. While I was sitting in the outer waiting area prepping, my supervisor went in and came out very happy in the space of ten minutes.

I listened to her work with two gentleman on our team and she was so great with them, so comfortable and fun and ingratiating. Hearing them laugh… it was such a wonderful way to spend the morning and afternoon. Everyone was really relaxed and enjoyed the experience.

Speaking of, Alissa became the experience and I didn’t even know I was looking for the experience. I don’t know when I had that good of a conversation with anyone in a very long time.

Alissa had to make adjustments for me. I have some medical issues and she didn’t bat an eye. She had me sit down comfortably and continued to take photos.

The thing that really touched my heart is - she has experience working with people with medical issues or physical challenges, and makes them comfortable in front of the camera. She was incredibly accommodating and I never felt rushed. I am not an easy person to physically manipulate. It did not come across that she was working hard at it. It was organic!

My headshot session with Alissa was everything it was chalked up to be and so much more. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I first saw Alissa's work on LinkedIn and knew immediately that I needed to see her. Every one of her headshots that I came across was powerful-- classy, yet bold and beautiful. I'm not always comfortable in front of the camera (I prefer to be the one behind it!), and I think it can come through in images of me. But reading about Alissa's process made me feel confident that should could help me with that-- and this feeling was not wrong.

I felt very well-prepared for the session. We had worked together on outfit choices ahead of time and discussed the image I wanted to convey. The morning of, I sat for makeup (which was amazing) and then Alissa prepared me for for shoot. Her method definitely helped me work through my discomfort.

She first snapped a quick test shot. When I came around to check it out, I couldn't believe the "me" I was seeing on the screen. It was the "me" that I swear I see in the mirror but that never seems to transfer into photos. Alissa mentioned that some folks do get emotional when seeing the images for the first time. I'm not usually like that, but I DID get choked up (I didn't ruin my makeup though)!

We continued the shoot, which was SO MUCH FUN, and I came away with a phenomenal package of headshots and full-body shots that I have been able to use for so many purposes. In every image, Alissa captured exactly the "me" that I wanted to convey -- a bit of class, a touch of rockstar, and a whole lot of "butt-kicker"!

Found Alissa through CHIEF and followed her on LinkedIn for a bit to evaluate her product. Was immediately drawn to her headshots, every single person she photographed looked confident, powerful yet approachable. I never saw a bad image.  I always hated the cameral had headshots done previously they are okay

So, I took the plunge and decided it was time. My previous headshot was 5 years old and from a time when I had short hair. I needed a new image to represent how I am approaching another decade in the New Year.

Beyond thrilled with the entire headshot experience. Impressed with the amount of preparation that went in prior to the day from the consultation call about outfits to an overview of what to expect. Lisa the makeup artist was fantastic and truly is an expert in her craft. I appreciate her ability to creatively accentuate my features, I was putting my best foot forward.

Alissa's attention to detail from posture to hair placement and selection of clothing immediately put me at ease, I was clearly in good hands. From the test shots to the final images, Alissa helped me project confidence and comfort in front of the camera, something I had always previously struggled with. I truly felt like a rock star for the day, extremely grateful for the opportunity to have worked with both exceptional ladies to "get the shot.”
