We were a small class in the ECG under Mr. Samuel Santiago that romped off on November 18, and all of us received our certificates on December 19, 2024, our final day in class. After only three days since the class started, I wanted to quit: I thought the subject matter was Greek to me. After a series of temporizing and feeling of desolation, I noticed I was—or we were—under the tutelage of the medical course’s version of boxing’s Muhammad Ali, thus I decided to stay and soldier on. When he began talking, Mr. Santiago could “float like a butterfly and sting like a bee”, so to speak; meaning he could easily hammer out a kinship rapport with his audience ostensibly because of his inherent proficiency and thought-provoking charisma as instructor; he could make us all forget the time, make us becalmed with enthusiasm; we became enamored while learning how the dizzying but scintillating variations of electrical rhythm strips crisscross the isoelectric lines as Mr. Santiago marshaled his pedagogical mastery of the art of teaching. Mr. Santiago is a dyed-in-the-wool educator, leader, motivator, healer, healthy living advice giver, inspirational speaker and friend rolled into one. Instead of quitting, he brought me back—and many of my classmates—to life; with his tact and adroitness, Mr. Santiago made us reinforce our inner strengths with gusto, perseverance, resilience, and determination to finish the difficult but amazing ECG course. I congratulate the TIA School of Allied Health for having such magnificent instructors like the very committed and sincere Ms Avae Cabral (CNA), the brilliant and well-respected Dr. Shobha Mohammed (Phlebotomy and ECG), and most-admired and highly regarded Mr. Samuel Santiago (Phlebotomy and ECG), among other Big League and titanic TIA instructors. Long live, the TIA, one of the best allied health schools in the United...
Read moreWhen I initially researched options for PMP Exam preparation courses, it was difficult to choose as there are so many. I decided to go with TIA as it offered in-person or virtual classroom option, the course is run almost weekly, price was reasonable compared to some and I read the reviews which sounded really genuine. I feel I made the right choice. Instructor Andrew was very knowledgeable, good at explaining, keeping a pace and at getting attention of the class which is no easy feat when the content can be quite boring. One other thing I thought was great is how the PMP Exam application process was incorporated into the curriculum. It may sound unnecessary - but I found it quite critical because the application process is quite tedious and Andrew made sure you went through the steps and even checked/critiqued your work. How many times have you filled out something and wondered, "am I filling this information correctly?" - well this is something the instructor will review for you. This prevents the ultimate procrastination of "I'll apply, next week, ..when I get to it" tendency. You only have to schedule the exam once you are done with the class - which is great. I also knew that I could always watch the training on video as a refresher in addition to studying on my own and retake the test. Approx 3 weeks after taking the class, fortunately, I passed on my first try. I can honestly say that I passed mainly because I took the course at TIA! Highly recommended if you are...
Read moreI do not know where to begin, so Ill start from the begin. I was looking for an alternative to InfoSec CISSP training (nothing against them. I just wanted to see what was out there). I came across TIA and saw the reviews were great. The price point was also great. I purchased the boot camp and immediately received access to the training materials. It was pre-recorded videos with Andrew conducted the training. A month later the live boot camp training kicked off. Juan was the instructor and let me say, he was freaking fantastic! He let me know the best ways to successfully pass the certification exam. He focused on some hot topics and medium topics. These topics are what most people would imagine them to be but Juan was able to simplify the topics which made them easier to ingest and . I followed his formula, practice exam recommendations and any additional resources. I took that following weekend and Monday (3-days total) then tested on Tuesday. I provisionally passed and received my passed notification from ISC2 5 days later. Thanks so much to Juan and Andrew for their amazing training!! I would recommend this course 100%! Take aways: Experience matters Study, study, study Trust in the process that TIA has laid out for you!!!
