RACIST experience here with my family - December 7, 2024 - My mom was so excited to purchase an ornament and get our names written on it⊠as my mom placed the ornament down on the table of the lady who was working the personalization desk, the lady simply looked up at my mom and said âI canât write long names on hereâ (my mom and I had been speaking in Spanish to each other first) so my mom looks at me confused and back at the attendant. She then tells the worker âOhh okay no problem, there is no long names.â The worker then proceeds to make a RACIST ASSUMPTION and says âOkay well Im letting you know. I cant do a long names like Maria Victoria or whatever on here.â My mom looks confused again and says âokay.. no one has a long name.â (My mom is non confrontational and too nice) So I immediately tell my mom to leave the ornament and to not accept that RACIST behavior but my mom opted to just do a letter of each name and still purchase the ornament from this establishment. I spoke with a cashier who claimed to be the âassistant managerâ and told her of our unpleasant experience and she simply apologized and said she could rewrite it for us. I told her âno thank you. The store is fully dedicated to holiday decorations and is packed with everything you can imagine, colorful ornaments to New York-themed souvenirs like caps, stickers, and gift items.
What really stands out is the sheer variety of decorations. There are countless types of Santas, celebrating inclusion with diverse representations, along with a wide selection of Disney characters and other figures from pop culture. Whether youâre a fan of classic Christmas, animated favorites, or modern collectibles, thereâs something for everyone.
The shop itself is large, bright, and neatly organized, making it easy to explore. That said, prices are high, small ornaments start around $10, and some items can reach $300+, Itâs clearly a tourist-area markup.
For serious holiday dĂ©cor enthusiasts or anyone seeking a unique New York ornament, this is one of the few places in the city with such variety. Casual shoppers may find similar items online for less, but if you love Christmas, enjoy browsing, and donât mind the premium, this Little Italy gem is a fun and festive stop. Visiting in summer gives it a quirky charm, and during the holiday season, the magic must be...

Itâs definitely a fun and interesting store, packed with all kinds of holiday ornaments and some New York-themed souvenirs like caps, stickers, and other gift-y items.
The shop is large, well-lit, and nicely organized but the prices are extremely high. Small ornaments start around $10â15 and can go all the way up to $200â300, which felt pretty outrageous, especially when many items are labeled âMade in China.â It felt like a big markup just because itâs in a touristy area.
That said, the selection is impressive. If youâre a serious fan of Christmas decorations or want a very specific New York ornament, this is probably one of the few places in the city with this much variety. Personally, I wouldnât go back I think you can find similar items online for way less. But if youâre into holiday decor and donât mind the prices, itâs...
