I was sooooo very excited to have found a restaurant that has vegetable soup AND it tastes delicious. I told the chef I would definitely return and secretly sent my husband back that night before they closed and got the last of the pot but I am not sure how often or if I will go back. I called today because I am so desiring another serving of the soup and when I asked the young lady that answered the phone if the soup had okra she informed me that the chef wasn't there for her to inquire and when I asked if she could look at it she said she couldn't really tell by looking at it because of the way it breaks down when cooking (my understanding of what she was saying). I get it but I'm allergic to okra so I can't have it today and since I can't look at it myself I guess I can only order soup when the chef is around. So dang sad today. :(

UPDATE: I still really really love the soup but I wish they added dumplings and yams to the veggie soup so it could fill...

Best Jamaican-no best food spot in the Bronx everything is made fresh by the kindest and most welcoming store owners. I haven’t tried everything in there repertoire, but Oh My Goodness there oxtail and Mac and cheese is the stuff they serve in heaven. Meat that melts off the bone with gravy juices explode in flavor with every bite. And it’s listed as a side but it could be a whole meal I swear there has to be drugs in the Mac and cheese it’s the best I have ever had anywhere and I say that begrudgingly cause I always thought the one I made was the best. The food is off the charts the service is 5 stars, if you haven’t tried it already don’t die before you taste...

Just recently I went by to grab probably my second favorite soup in this place I love the salmon soup on Sunday but the red bean soup on Saturday is delicious but to my disappointment I received several bones and said soup no beef was in the soup it was just like shards or shavings of beef so I can play mainly was why do I have so much fixings and there was no actual beef...
