Qahwah House – Authentic Yemeni Coffee & Desserts in Cleveland
If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual coffee run, Qahwah House is such a gem. It’s a Yemeni café that roasts their own organic coffee imported straight from Yemen, and the flavors really stand out—rich, spiced, and so comforting.
One of my favorite parts? When you dine in, your tea or coffee comes in a little teapot over candles. It feels cozy, a bit romantic, and makes the whole experience feel special whether you’re with friends or on a date night.
🍰 Pastries & Desserts You’ll Love: • Golden Basbousa – A sweet semolina cake with condensed milk • Yemen Chocolate – Flaky phyllo filled with pistachio • Talia Cake – A rich, flavorful favorite • Hazelnut Dream Cake – Smooth hazelnut indulgence • Pistachio Dream Cake – Creamy pistachio perfection (must-try!) • Sabaya – Flaky layers drizzled with golden honey • Khaliat Alnahl (Honeycomb Rolls) – Pull-apart, buttery cheese-filled rolls with honey (a house favorite!)

Read moreThis business opened less than 24 hours before my apartment building across the street caught on fire. The men that work here, and own this business, brought a truck over and offered refreshments, as well as, kind and positive words to the residents, as we waited outside with extreme worry and uncertainty of what our futures held. They spent numerous hours waiting with us as our building was in flames, as rain began to pour, and as we waited to be told we could not go back into our homes for an unknown amount of time; and for some of us- days. I watched their “soft opening” the night before from my balcony and heard music and laughter- I remembered thinking that I wanted to go over there because I could sense the happiness and excitement coming from across the street. I watched as individuals were dancing and truly enjoying themselves…. A lot of residents from my apartment have been displaced and we still are going through an awful amount of uncertainty; as we speak to each other from the outside of our hotel, we all speak of the generous men that came to offer us support, hope, and refreshments. And we all have agreed that the refreshments were wonderful! I can’t think of a better business in the city of North Olmsted to support and help launch. I will never forget that day for many reasons; but I will never forget that day for one single heart felt reason- which is the men who dedicated their time, and themselves, to support those in need; and for that, I am truly grateful. A simple “kind gesture” truly can impact the lives of others…. They showed up and showed out; and we should do the same thing for them. May this...
Read moreGreat new coffee shop to try out. They have only been open a week.
I wanted to get something I couldn’t get from anywhere else. The gentleman, who I believed is the owner, was beyond friendly and helpful.
Since I have to have dairy free, I was recommended the Iced Mafawar with almond milk. I also got the vegan pastry that they have. I enjoyed the drink. It was very delicious and I was excited for the new experience. When you order Yemen coffee hot, they make it on the stove.
The inside was amazing. I loved the map on the wall and would have looked at it more along with the information next to it, however, there were people sitting there and I didn’t want to be rude.
You can tell there was a lot of money and love put into decorating the inside. It’s a very comfortable place to sit and very clean inside. They also have a very nice patio in the front along with a food truck.
The gentleman did confirm that the internet is not wrong. They have extended hours, 7am—12am. Perfect when you would like a drink and everyone else is closed.
I look forward to trying...
