I won a gift certificate for the Bridal Veil Suite in a silent auction for the Mountain Crisis Center. I had intended to share it with relatives coming to my wedding last year, but it didn’t fit in. Instead my husband and I used it to celebrate our first anniversary.
We live twelve miles down the road, but it was nice to be able to stay in town and walk to Savoury’s for a lovely dinner and not worry about who was going to drive home.
We came back to the room for a night cap. The room has an incredibly comfortable seating area and a beautiful cabinet with nice glasses to enjoy our celebratory drinks.
The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable, but very high (I mention this because I have traveled with my mom who is handicapped and there is no way that she would be able to get in this bed -the average person would be fine, I just don’t understand the high bed trend).
There is a well stocked kitchen with a full sized fridge. It has a private deck, tucked into the trees feels very secluded despite being so close to downtown.

Read moreThe place to be if you need a good nights rest before heading into Yosemite to camp! A group of friends and I did just that this last week before heading into the NP and we could not be more happy with our stay - first the staff - now a days it’s hard to find good workers who will provide great service with a smile and the team at 5th did exactly that- from a pre arrival phone call where the person was so kind - to checking in. Also my wife left her kindle and after our 3 days in the NP the hotel was able to get it back to us! The person even called everyone who worked the day we check out to make sure we could get it back 10/10 customer service.||The room it’s self was very clean and just a great design and size for our big group - everyone was able to sleep nicely and the sheets and towels were very nice quality.||You know big hotels are starting to get way too expensive , they are not as Fridley anymore and honestly not worth the money - but the 5th street inn was a breath of fresh air. We will always stay here when we can when coming up to Yosemite and I highly recommend you to do the same - thank you 5th street in for a...
Read moreThe location is good. The check in service was fine. The size of the room is fine. Parking was fine also. Room was not especially clean. There was some snot stuck to the wall near the bed. The air conditioning was very loud and pointed directly at the bed which was quite unpleasant giving me a dry throat (hadn't been an issue at other hotels before). The walls are very thin, we could hear everything the neighbouring rooms were saying. The price is high but not surprising given the location. Finally, we had to leave a day earlier than planned and were told to email the motel by the receptionist as it would be up to the manager whether we would get a partial refund. I wasn't necessarily expecting to get a refund but there's no harm in asking. The fact we weren't even graced with a response shows a serious lack of professionalism...
