Made reservations and planned my day around the early dinner reservation. When I got to the restaurant the hostess told me and my party that there was no reservation and that she could not produce a table out of thin air and offered a discounted meal for take out. Well we are traveling and have no place to eat take out. That’s why we made reservations for dinning out!
From what i observed there was zero attempt to find a solution. We asked to call the person that confirmed the reservation in order to help find a solution she said it would not help and would not seek help. Then when asked to review other names listed on the reservation list to see if the other person may have miss understood the name and recorded our name incorrectly . Again that request was also refused.
The girl took our number and said if there is a cancellation she would give us a call. She said they let reservations arrive 30-40 min late before releasing the table. We got a call at 6:23 telling us that a 6 pm table did not show up and that we could take that reservation. ( we think that was our reservation but can’t be sure because the request to check was not honored). By that time a restaurant down the street worked us in and we are very thankful for that. So we went else where for dinning. We won’t be back because there was no effort to help solve the problem while...
Read moreThis was such a cozy find during our weekend trip to Yosemite National Park and what a gem it was. It was quite busy and bustling but had a lovely family friendly vibe. The staff was unbelievably friendly from seating us, going through the specials for the day, and making sure we were well tended to during our time there. They even shared with us the playlist that they were playing at the restaurant which we loved.
Of course the food was delicious as well. The majority of our table decided on the specials of the day, both of which was great. I had the portobello ravioli from their pasta menu which was also so good - creamy and savory, all that you love with a good ravioli. All the dishes came with a great portion of veggies than we ever expected and all our dishes also came with your choice of either a soup or salad. We all thought the quality and quantity for the price was well worth it! From our small selection, it gives you the feeling that the rest of the menu would be just as good.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for those who have some time at the end of the day for a nice sit-down dining experience right on the Main Street through Mariposa, about an hour away from the main...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way to Yosemite NP. After a long drive, we were ready for a nice meal. The room was very dark which was OK as it added to the ambiance of the restaurant. We were greeted and ask how many we had (3 adults and two kids). At that point the person disappeared and we waited for at least 10 minutes. The person who greeted us was delivering food to other tables during this time. Finally, someone different came and seated us. It was a cramped area with a table close to a back wall. Once seated, we again waited for a long time for a totally new person (we were totally confused at this point who our server was) to take out drink orders. We eventually got our drinks & food. My chicken was very tough and dry and my friends "medium well" burger was literally raw on the inside. The roasted potatoes were just a whole potato, cut in half and cooked on a skillet...very dry and bland. The staff was very friendly and I hope this was just a bad night for them but I would not recommend this establishment. Very pricey for not so great quality. I walked out wishing we had just gone to the subway...
