Our stay was absolutely perfect, from Sept 29-Oct 1. I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before but I feel like Helen made our stay more enjoyable than any other we will experience. She was so sweet and welcoming. I did not read the email about check in hours and we came in way past 8 pm and I didn't call to notify her so please be aware of that. She was very sweet about it too. She's had this b&b for 10 yrs, I think hospitality is definitely her calling. She makes delicious homemade breakfasts. Her eggs are so good! The French toast was delicious! Her husband makes homemade bread that we were lucky enough to have on both mornings we were there. Helen made peach jam that was amazing. She gave us a little homemade treat to take with us each day. She was so sweet with my 3 year old daughter and they have a little playhouse in the front yard that she enjoyed. The room was comfortable and clean. King and queen size bed. Mini fridge, ac and heating. Wifi worked well. She only has three rooms so if you are lucky enough to have your dates available, don't hesitate to book. This means she takes care of the property since it's a part of her home, it's not an overly crowded place. Each room is separate, with separate entries, no shared spaces other than eating breakfast outside on the cute patio which is a beautiful way to start the day. We ate at about 8 am (at the center patio) and then enjoyed Yosemite. I appreciate the checkout at noon, which is nice when you are on a leisurely pace. Thank you again Helen, I'll definitely be back! I'm so glad I was lucky enough to find such a...
Read moreWhat an incredible find! Ron and Hélène are fantastic hosts. My husband and I are very cognizant not all Americans are LGBT friendly.
The distance to Yosemite NP was a non-issue. In fact, the only traffic was related to mountain and road repairs. The drive from Yosemite Plaisance Bed & Breakfast to Yosemite NP is less than an hour with wonderful views to be seen.
Their hospitality and cheer are sincere. We felt comfortable right away.
Our room at Yosemite Plaisance B&B was more than expected. The breakfast was not only beautifully presented, every dish superb, but more importantly, it was made with LOVE! The room, beds, and shower were immaculate and comfortable. We slept well after our days of travel and at Yosemite NP.
Other signs of the extreme hospitality and care Hélène and Ron extend to their guests are the beautiful setting of the tables, assistance with sites and places to go, the fresh garden vegetables, the electric car charger, little extras in the room, and so much more. One special item is the snacks given after breakfast for the day’s adventures.
I hope this review entices you to book a stay at Yosemite Plaisance Bed...
Read moreWe decided to stay here right after Yosemite opened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Helene and Rob were incredibly accommodating and very health conscious. My fiance and I had no concerns about the cleanliness or the meal preparations as it was clear that they were putting all safely measures in place. The room was perfect, quaint and very comfortable. The fridge was a welcome treat as we had food that we were travelling with on our Yosemite road trip that we wanted to keep cool overnight before putting it back in our coolers. The location is next to a cute downtown area and also some beautiful trails around a reservoir all within walking distance. It's only about a 45 minute - 1 hr. drive from the Yosemite.
And breakfast - Holy Cow! Helene made crepes that were the most delicious things I've ever tasted and held us over through lunch so we didn't have to worry about stopping in the park to find food. She even packed us a sweet treat to enjoy later that day AND the recipe for her crepes is posted on their website so we can try to make them at home. This place is perfect for families or a romantic getaway - We highly...
