Illusions The Drag Queen Show - Drag Brunch and Dinner Show — Local services in Palm Springs

Not at all what was described/promoted. There were several bachelorette parties, and while it was nice that they called out the girls, especially the lesbian couples bachelorette party, I paid the VIP price to get dinner and a show with confirmed table. The show ended up being ALL about the parties. There was no actual show. No celebrity impersonations, nothing. The queens danced to the music coming up and down the aisles, but we were all encouraged to go up to the bachelorettes onstage to give our money to them for the queens to pick up. I've been to drag shows in the past that had bachelorette parties, it's a popular choice for them. But they spend 5-10 mins acknowledging them, then it's on with the regular show. I didn't pay to see a Drag Bachelorette Show. I paid to see the Illusions Celebrity Impersonations show.

Also, I had someone from Eventbrite call me to change my group to the earlier showing saying it was a request from the venue. But my tickets weren't moved, despite me calling Illusions main number to confirm that we were expected to come to the earlier time. So we drive in to Palm Springs early, rushed to get ready, get there, only to find out no, our tickets were still for the later time. So we had to wait 2.5 hours to get in. We could have taken our time and enjoyed our Saturday, as we were driving 2.5 hours to see this show. I made the reservation over a month in advance, so there was no excuse for it.

All in all, the whole experience...

I am giving three stars to average out two aspects.

5 stars go to the Queens. They brought a great energy and performed the heck out of their numbers. They interacted with audience and made everyone welcome.

1 star goes to the venue itself. $55 dollars for a VIP ticket to end up sharing a table with other parties. Nothing included in that price except for your seat. We had paid an additional $30 for the 3-course dining option add-on. A salad that was already sitting on the counter when we arrived. A choice of three entrees that were not very appetizing. Dessert was a store bought cheesecake slice. The waitresses did what they could but drinks weren't brought out in a timely manner, and they were walking around interrupting the performances to clean plates off tables.

I would love to see any of the three queens that performed in a different space, but I will not be coming back...

Illusions made my bachelorette party a PARTY! The queens really went all out in making me feel special, interacting with the audience and bringing the FUN! The numbers were amazing, the staff was so kind, and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We will all be back! Thank you for the unforgettable night.
