When I travel to Palm Springs, I always seek an inclusive and warm atmosphere, where I can truly unwind. My choice of hotel was based on my personal preferences, and upon booking, it seemed to offer everything I desired, including a reasonable price. However, my experience took a sour turn upon arrival.
As soon as we stepped into the lobby, I could sense an unwelcoming energy. The manager on duty that afternoon had a demeanor that felt dismissive, making us feel as if we were merely children in his playground. The rolling of eyes from staff members was hard to miss, adding to the unease of the situation.
While the hotel itself is stunning, boasting beautiful architecture and inviting decor, the excessive rules and regulations overshadowed its appeal. The atmosphere felt more like a strict institution rather than a getaway, with rigid policies on early check-ins and late check-outs that left little room for flexibility. This rigidity contributed to a frustrating experience, as I found myself navigating a maze of dos and don’ts.
However, not all was lost during my stay. When the manager left for the day, two women at the front desk brightened the atmosphere with their kind demeanor. They were notably accommodating and genuinely sweet, which provided a much-needed contrast to my earlier interactions.
Ultimately, despite the hotel's beauty and the kindness of a few staff members, I left feeling disheartened.
And as a proud LGBTQ+ person, one would think a hotel called The Palm Springs Hotel would embrace the Palm Springs vibe. I will not be returning to this hotel in the future, as the experience did not align with the welcoming energy I...
Read moreSeptember is the off-season in Palm Springs. I stayed 10 days at the Palm Springs hotel. The rooms were stylish, comfortable and very clean, nice touch with the towels folded as you would find in a resort beds were always made tightly with daily service beautiful pool and a nice hot tub huge showers in each room, this sounds a little hot bit during my 10 days. I actually got to see four different rooms. I have both a single king and a double bedroom. There was a maintenance issues so we got an extra room and saw one room that was just opened. All rooms were of the same caliber The office has wonderful coffee and a Keurig in each room. | A few of the less flattering things were the hot tub timer needed to be replaced no big deal, when we checked in, we had a 24 hour desk clerk then it became. They didn’t have somebody overnight for two days again. It was no problem for us, but it wasn’t what we were told when we checked in The staff didn’t seem to all work on the same rules never a problem, but some had different rules about pool towels, which was a little odd nobody ever refused to quickly granted a towel.| I will stand by my five star review as none of the other issues were really an issue. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can recommend this property. I guess I should say hotel as it sounds like I am a. Chatbot or something using the term property. Having a swim every night and being the only ones in the pool it make it feel rather...
Read moreDON'T GO HERE! When we checked into the hotel they put us in a room with a janky bed that was all ripped up. That should've been the first red flag. But the place seemed cute and we just needed a place to crash for the night so didn't make a big deal and just asked to be moved to a different room which they accommodated. After a few days I noticed there were two $25 charges on my credit card and one refund for $25. When I called the hotel to discuss the charges they said I needed to chat with the general manager, who wouldn’t return my call. After 3 different days I finally got a hold of the GM who said the room was "missing the hangers" and charged me for it. I tried to explain how there must have been a mistake that happened during our room switch because we didn't use the closet area let alone hangers, as we were there for one night and didn’t have cloths to unpack. Instead of being rational the GM said we must have taken the hangers (?), blamed us for their mistake on inventory and charged me $25 for it. They refused to take responsibility for their mistake and instead told me I can go dispute the charge with my credit card company. Sketchy service and would never recommend...
