I was not impressed with the escape room. We did the Merlin one. It was my first time and was eagerly looking forward to the adventure but sadly disappointed. First and foremost when we entered the room there should be a sign or a clue that this is where we should start. Nothing was written nor was said in the video we saw. It just said to explore the rooms for clues. So we asked the guide or helper Brie, by talking to the cauldron to give us a clue. not sure how to spell her name for help and give us a clue. She said to start with the books on the table. We also had a hard time understanding her as she had a cold that day that made her words hard to understand. Then the wand did not work, she even tried it herself and had to come inside the room. Another fellow helped us and gave us more explicit instructions and we were able to move forward with the other quest. But during the timed escape room adventure, me and my friend had to ask for a clue every time which took out the fun out of it. If the clues were more precise and maybe they would have placed an arrow or a number this is the first thing you should do and then the second and so forth. It would have been more fun. Also they should have given a more accurate clues as opposed to us constantly asking for clues. Brie herself had to read the clues from a piece of paper to explain them to us. When we got to the next room, we did not know again what to do so again we asked for Brie to give us a clue. It would have been nice if there was an arrow saying start here or something or maybe the clue prior to the next room would have stated when you get to the next room you should start with ...... Also the drum looked like a light to call batman. It did not look like a drum at all. They should maybe have wrapped it with a drum like pattern. I mean the table looked like more a drum to us than the actual drum. Then we had to ask for a clue again because it did not specify that we had to count the times the numbers lit up I mean c'mon. I don't want to give away too much clues here and be too specific as it will give the next player clues to the escape room. But again, the clues that Brie was telling us should have been written already on the clues once we open or find the next clue.
I would have wanted to do the bank heist but after getting bored and exasperated on the Merlin room, I would not want to pay $42.00 a person for the bank heist.
A bunch of people liked the Ripper room. So maybe that room would have been more fun. But after the numerous help of Brie we were able to solve it with 30 seconds to spare. Hopefully they read this comment and improve on the clues of the room and if someone has a cold to let them stay home and have someone who can speak clearly with no congestion help us out. Other than it's probably good hygiene to have someone with a cold stay home. Good thing we did not catch her cold.
Updated Review: I got a phone call from the owner of the escape room and she took my review of mine very constructive and will apply or train her employees better. The conversation we had that lasted an hour and 5 minutes was more exhilarating than the escape room "lol". She was very nice and accomodating and apologetic and Gave me a full refund plus more. I actually ended up having a friend. What the game lacked was made up on the extreme kindness and customer service rendered by Dom. You have a...
Read moreI recently had an absolutely fantastic time at Escape room Palm Springs and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in Levi lead the way, the atmosphere was electric – you could tell the staff were just as excited as we were. Our game master, Game Master Levi, was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us a clear briefing without giving anything away. We did the Dracula room, and it was brilliantly designed. The puzzles were challenging but fair, and the set design was immersive and detailed. We were completely drawn into the story, and the adrenaline rush of solving each clue was exhilarating. The room had a great flow, and the variety of puzzles kept everyone engaged. What really stood out was the attention to detail. The props, the lighting, the sound effects – everything contributed to creating a truly believable and thrilling experience. Even when we got stuck, the hints provided by our game master were perfectly timed and helpful, without giving us the answers outright. Our team had a blast working together, and we left feeling energized and accomplished. We're already planning our next visit to try another room! If you're looking for a fun, engaging, and memorable experience, Escape Room palm springs is the place to be. Whether you're a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a first-timer, you're guaranteed to have a great time. Five stars all the way! AI...
Read moreThis was me and my friends' (group of 3) second time doing an escape room but first time at this location in which we did the Vampires Lair Escape, the story and lore itself was very interesting as it kept us engaged and egar to escape the room to see the ending. The room and puzzles itself are beginner friendly in my opinion as the puzzles were solvable but very clever in a way where some puzzles would need you to think outside the box to solve it (would give an example but that'd be a spoiler so you'll just have to see for yourself 🤫). Our Game Master, Mar Mar, was a very good guide as they gave hints that didn't give away the answer right away which I was very grateful for as it kept us on our toes and thinking instead of relying on them to solve the puzzle for us. Mar Mar was also very welcoming with a very supportive attitude, making the experience very enjoyable, especially if you get anxious under stress. Overall, me and my friends' experience was highly enjoyable and if you are looking for something to do on a weekend with a couple of friends this is definitely a...
