I stayed at this Hotel for the first time at the end of March. I did a 3 night, 4 day stay here. I chose it because of the location to the downtown area and that it had a heated pool and a hot tub. I arrived maybe an hour early and they were able accommodate me without any problems. The front desk was efficient checking in. I went to my room and it was a standard Hotel room. It was clean and had heating and AC and it had a coffee maker in the room. They did not come to clean the room, unless you requested it. The TV only has TV apps, so i was unable to watch just local TV. The Front desk is not open 24 hours, so this was not something i liked. They did provide a phone number to call. I did not use this number during my stay. The grounds of the Hotel were clean and maintained well. I was told by the front desk that there was two pools a heated pool and a natural temperature salt pool with two hot tubs. The heated pool was not heated, or if it was it was minimally heated. It felt like the same temperature as the natural pool. There was two hot tubs. One tub was much warmer than the other. There was a lot of families with small children the weekend i was there. The children at times could be loud. The kids were often using the hot tub as a pool. They did have lounge chairs to lay on. I ended up spending one day by the pool and hot tubs. I did swim in the natural salted pool. It was chilly, but i got use to it in the sun. The weather was mild temperatures with a steady desert wind during the day. In the end the location was good, but the lack of a heated pool and not having a 24 hours service in the front desk was not for me. I felt like the price did not feel a good value for me. I could have paid for a cheaper hotel and received about the same level of amenities...
Read moreCompared to most of the Hotels in Palm Springs, L3 only charges a small fortune, which is why we chose it. It was originally a Motel and has had a reasonable make over. We had a room middle of the block overlooking the car park equal distance from two roads. It may have be nice to have a room overlooking the Pool Area, but this may get noisy when the Hotel is Busy. The Rooms themselves have had a make over and are OK, the problem is that there is not air movement, you cannot open the window, if you leave the door open the alarm goes off, so you either have to leave the Aircon fan on, not to noisy or turn the aircon on which was noisy, WiFi is rubbish, I ended up purchasing an Unlimited Data Sim from Walmart which work very well and is actually cheaper than L3's WiFi charge ! There is no lift access to Level 2, maid service is only if you ask for it and not daily. Room Layout is OK, the Toilet & Bath/Shower have their own room with a door, but the Wash Basin, Mirror is next to the Bathroom in the bedroom, annoying at times. Parking is Free but really don't understand why there is a daily charge for use of the pool and crap WiFi !! Palm Springs Cable / Tramway up the mount is fun, Ricks for Breakfast is great, classic US Dinner, Boozehounds next door is a great Bar and Restaurant and Bill Reed's just down the road is fun, huge restaurant and menu, no...
Read moreThe pools and spas were nice and well kept small fridge in room and nice fake wood floors. Thats about it. Otherwise this is just a motel 6. We arrived for 4 pm checkin and there was a lobby full of people. No rooms were cleaned or ready for people until closer to 5pm. Everyone was already checked in just waiting. The beds are hard as the floor. No cable tv, only streaming (must use your own accts). No iron, no phone , no closet, no coffee in room. Only 2 towels 1 washcloth given for room. Ac works, but gets noisey. Neighbors were very loud and inconsiderate 2 nights in a row playing loud music. Slamming doors and yelling until 3am. No guest service after 11pm. There is an emergency contact, but that is useless as they told us to go tell the neighbors to be quiet. The parking lot lights all kept going off. They charge $150 deposit ( which I have stayed at much nicer hotels with a less deposit) and I was told from staff its high because they tend to have a lot of damage. I wish i would have ran then, but i had prepaid. There was a bug in the tub. When checking out i spoke with management about all of my concerns. He shrugged it off and said ok i will note it but nothing i can do about any of it. He was very cold and annoyed that he even had to...
