The food is terrible which was really unfortunate since I was really looking forward to trying this place out. I suggested it for a dinner with 3 other friends and we all were disappointed. Me and my friend ordered the exact same meal, wings and mac and cheese. When the order arrived, our wings looked completely different from each other. Mine looked almost black when her wings were like a light golden color. At first we thought maybe they put different flavors so we tried it but it was the same flavor. When we tasted them, we noticed it was not the sauce, my wings were black because they were burnt. When I asked the person who brought the food out if my friend and I received the same wings (not our server), he said yes, they’re the same wings and I said why do they look so different and he said I don’t know what happened to them and then walked away. He didn’t even try to fix it. When our server arrived back to the table, I showed him the wings and he made a face as was like yea that’s not right. He offered to take it back and bring a new order out and he apologized. While I was waiting for the wings, I ate my Mac and cheese, and it was really sickening. The sauce itself was bland but they also through what looked like half a cup of seasoning on top of the Mac and cheese that was sickening to the taste. I asked my friend what she thought of the Mac and cheese and she said the same thing. When I got the new wing order, it looked much better and tasted ok but it was really nothing special. My fiance and his friend got the pot pie and chili. Both said they were just ok and that it was really small. They come in tiny soup bowls which is not what you would expect for an entree and the price you’re paying. The pot pie was just a soup with a piece of bread on top. Definately not what I’d consider an entree. Our waiter was very nice and he gave us the wings for free and a complimentary dessert which was tasty but nothing to rave about. The atmosphere was great and it’s really cool looking inside. We did have to wait 2 hours for our table which sucked but it was doable. My biggest complaint was the food. It was just not what you would expect for a restaurant that popular. I’d recommend getting a new chef. The Mac and cheese was so sickening to me that my stomach was turning on the way home and my friend even said it also didn’t sit...
Read moreWow, just WOW! Incredible experience at High West Saloon during our time in Park City, UT - we dined as a group of 10 in the private room right near the distillery. First off, what a beautiful room to dine in! We were in awe, and super thankful we were in a private room... as I'm sure all of the others dining at High West were, too :).
Next came our angel server- Zoe. Talk about service! Zoe was patient, attentive, friendly, a great communicator, and knew just what we would need. Her recommendations for shots, drinks, and apps were all spot on. I do not like whiskey, but whatever she ordered us went down so so smooth. The others in the group who typically stay clear of whiskey and bourbon can attest. We especially appreciated her bringing out one shot with a grapefruit slice on top and candle for our friend's 30th. That was so special! Zoe always had a smile on her face, could answer any question we had, and was quick.
Aside from Zoe being amazing in every way shape & form, the food was incredible. Shout out to the chef! We had the fondue, wings, pretzels, and then an array of entrees - each cooked to perfection & with such incredible flavor. Most of us are from NYC and can appreciate very good food - High West Saloon had one of the absolute best burgers I have ever ate in my entire life, and historically, I tend to stay away from red meat so in my opinion, that says a whole lot!!
I could go on and on about what a positive, tasty, wonderful experience we had here. What a perfect place for a last night dinner celebration for a trip. If I could give this place a 20/10 I would, and Zoe - you must know how much we appreciate and loved you (and those extra pretzels we enjoyed once home)!! If you are Zoe's manager - we are sorry for the noise, but wholeheartedly stand by our chanting for Zoe as we left because she was just THAT good. Thank you X1 million for making our last night the...
Read moreNot sure if it was an off night or people are paid for reviews because our experience here was quite lackluster.
It started off well. We were seated almost immediately at a high table across from the bar (this will become a key point later on). The hostess sat us, left for a moment and returned with cups that had utensils neatly wrapped in napkins inside.
Then we sat, watching the two tables next to us get seated, had their glasses filled with water, and get there drink orders taken. 20 mins went by before our server came by, filled our waters and took our drink orders (as I notice the table sat after us was receiving their drink order).
So we were socializing as friends do when a loud slew of profanities rang out from the bar. I didn't put to much thought into it, at first, but as the night went on it seemed as if every time the sailor turned bartender poured a new drink there was a new proclamations of expletives to be deleted more colorful than the last.
In the midst of the hollering hurricane from the bartender the server told us there were many orders at the bar so we wouldn't have our drinks for a few more minutes, and took our order.
About another 20 minutes went by and he brought out our appetizers,(but what about our drinks) "Sorry on the drinks just a few more minutes" (I'm sure if the bartender spend more time pouring then digging so deep in his vocabulary we would have had them). This time the waiter was correct in being a few more minutes and finally got our drinks.
The food came out just as we were finishing our drinks (and we weren't asked if we wanted another) but we did enjoy the food, very well put together with above average quality (just wish I could say the same about the waiter and bartender)
It would be unlikely for me to return however good the food was, because of lousy service and a bartender that couldn't keep his profanities...
