I got 3 rooms for a week to do a mini family reunion. Big mistake. Here is a quick breakdown. 2 of the 3 rooms had food left in food disposer and flooded kitchen floor when we tried to clear it. Good news is Maintenance took care of it quickly. one of the rooms smelled like urine. Discovered it was on the sofa. Called Front Desk and they did nothing for 3 days. the arcade is mostly filled with broken games. The change machine didn't work either. pool was only heated two of the seven days we stayed. When reported to Manager, he just lied about turning it on. The heater installed to heat the overall pool area was never turned on even though several guests requested it. one neighbor had three dogs that used the walkway as a bathroom. Reported to Front Desk and again nothing was done. walkway to gym was flooded. Front Desk responded rudely when we informed them about it. Maintenance eventually took care of it. Front Desk lies about availability of board games. We had one person in our party request and was denied a board game. Minutes later someone else requested and received it. Front Desk rudely decides who can access the board games.
Overall, this place needs to replace their Management. It is obvious that the Front Desk has no clue what they're doing or about customer service. I do have to admit that there was one good person on the Front Desk. He is the younger fella. There were only three people that worked the Front Desk while I was present. An older fella, the younger guy that knows about good customer service, and then ultimately the incompetent Manager.
It was extremely frustrating trying to work with the Front Desk and Manager on the many issues at the resort. They don't seem to care. I got into an argument with the Manager and he threatened to call RCI to cancel my reservation. I told him to do it. Then he threatened to call the Police. To which I also welcomed because the whole incident was on camera and it was very obvious that I did nothing wrong. If the Police or Ownership of the facility reviews the recordings, they would witness how embarrassing their Manager conducts his work.
I'm going to try and get my Resort Fees refunded because we were unable to use the majority of items at the resort. When trying to work with staff, we just received resistance and an attitude that we were lucky to be staying at the place. I won't call it a resort because I've been to motels in better condition and with a Front Desk/Management that treats...
Read moreSee the pictures I've posted From the pictures on the site and the first impression when you walk in the door you'd think you got a nice place, but that's not the case at all. I was in unit 40. It looked like they started off with a good attempt to remodel, but then they decided to start cutting corners. I'll start with the negative first.
The room: The unit smelled old. There's gaps at the bottom of the entryway door. The room was drafty. There were lots of water stains on the baseboards and the ceilings. The fixtures were falling off of the closets as well as in the bathroom. You can hear every move of the people in the room above you. The beds are hard and uncomfortable. There were big stains on the carpet. There were stains on the sofa that should've been wiped clean by housekeeping, but weren't. The carpet is fraying. All the heaters makes loud clicking noises when they're on. The comforters had stains on them. The comforters were thin and there was only one other blanket in the whole unit. You can hear the water being turned on in your unit and other units when people wash their hands, take a shower, and flush the toilet. It's loud. The water temp and pressure aren't always consistent. There are two bedrooms, but only one has a TV. There's only one bathroom for a two-bedroom unit. There was lots of random stuff in the closets. The blinds fell off the window. All the views from my room were of other buildings. The bathroom still appeared to need cleaning. Especially the tub. I went to Walmart and bought supplies to clean my unit.
The "resort": There are no towels at the pool. You have to go all the way to the check-in desk to get one. There's a fireplace in the room, but no firewood. You have to buy it from the front desk. There's an $18 a day resort fee that's supposed to cover "amenities and parking". There's only a pool table and a few games, and PARKING IS ON THE STREET. No mountain views. Loose floorboards on the exterior walkway. Exposed rusted pipes outside the entryway. No secure Wi-Fi. We were here for a week and we never saw housekeeping. There are no restaurants in the "resort". No elevators
Positive Good location The unit I was in had...
Read moreMy complaint is primarily about the office manager. I can't recall his name but is older and of Indian descent with a heavy accent.
Upon arrival, the office manager was very friendly and he began talking with my guest's parents, both are over 60 years old. However, the office manager made inappropriate sexual innuendo comments to my guest's mother three times! First when the mother asked where her husband was, the office manager said he saw him leaving with a young beautiful blonde. When she said excuse me, he repeated it. About five minutes later, while explaining the weekly linen exchange for the rooms, he told my guest's mother that she would have to leave the room so her husband and the maid could be alone. Again, taken back, she said excuse me again and he repeated it.
Clearly this is inappropriate regardless of intention. Joking that way once might have been over looked but he kept repeating the comments and it was very odd and uncomfortable for my guest's parents who also happen to be very religious and conservative. The manager should NEVER make these kind of jokes. Period. I would like to know what will be done to address this ASAP.
Furthermore, upon check out, the front desk clerk was politely handling checkout of both units with my guest. He comes with me every year and is authorized to act on my behalf. While I was using the bathroom, the desk clerk continued checkout and asked him if there were any issues with the rooms, he highlighted several recurring issues with the refrigerator and dishwasher in my two bed unit. He also told her that the mattress covers were visibly soiled upon check in, the sheets were not fitted to the mattresses and a lot of body hair and trash between the mattress and box springs. Upon hearing these issues, the office manager rudely jumped in and stated that my guest was not authorized to provide that information as a guest and that only owners could provide that info.
Again, this is unacceptable and recurring points to the source of the problem - the office manager. he is not running the lodge at even the lowest standards i expect of normal resorts, is rude and disrespectful. Frankly, he is running the resort as if it were in the country he is from rather than...
