The food was absolutely fantastic and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The service, though, from start to finish, was atrocious. We had a 6:45 reservation that we showed up early for (~6:30). We were seated immediately, which didn’t surprise us because there were nearly half-a-dozen open tables throughout the restaurant. Immediately after being seated, our server greeted us and informed us that a large party was coming in at 8, sitting where we were seated, and straight up told us that we would need to be cashed out by 8:00. Not the best delivery, but somewhat excusable given peak season in a ski town. However, at almost nearly every visit to the table, our server mentioned the time crunch and passive aggressively encouraged us to move quickly. We had orders ready, didn’t dither, ate quickly, and didn’t even order as much as we actually wanted (we would’ve happily ordered more alcohol or dessert, which we weren’t even offered). We were told the food would take approximately 15-20 minutes to prepare and the server put our first order in early, in case we wanted more. The food though, took about 30-40 minutes to prepare and wasn’t delivered to us until after 7:30. Immediately upon finishing, the check was thrust upon us despite one of our party still having a significant amount of their drink left. At this point, it is still before 8:00 but our server told us he had already told the incoming party their table would be ready in 10 minutes, yet there was no one in the waiting area. About one minute after, about 1:30 hours since we had been sat, the manager approached our table and flatly told us we needed to leave because they needed the table. I don’t complain at restaurants, I’ve never made a google review before, a chef could serve me feces on a napkin and I’d eat it with a smile on my face before ever sending food back, but this was just absolutely terrible. I expressed my disappointment to the manager who proceeded to blank-face stare at me and outright lie to us in response to everything I said. Initially, she informed us that the restaurant factors in 1:45-2:00 per table; I pointed out how this was well short of our dining window, even considering our early seating. She later lowered her “expected time of dining” window to 1:30 and blamed the seating crunch on “the system”. I informed her that we would’ve moved tables after being sat where they sat us, had they simply communicated the scheduling conflict; she claimed both she and the hostess informed us of the time crunch when we were sat, which simply did not happen. We told the manager that we had been rushed from the minute we were seated and that it was not our responsibility to coordinate where, when, and how they seat parties, she then tried to revert back to blaming us for not eating in their expected 1:30 window (bearing in mind that she was having this conversation with us within the “1:30” window of our original booking and we had paid the check prior to her ever coming to the table). We informed the manager of our original intention to have spent more money and order more food, informed her that we would’ve been happy to be moved to accommodate their scheduling, told her that we specifically came to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, and never once asked for any refund or financial compensation for the inconvenience. The manager, though, simply could not have cared any less and attempted to placate us with deflection, excuses, and facetious claims of informing ownership. I pride myself on being a good, non-problematic customer, a good tipper, and a person who NEVER complains, so this is painful to write. But this was objectively the worst service and management I have ever experienced. And the worst part is, I’d probably do back because of how good...

I am so thoroughly disgusted and disappointed with the quality of the sushi and the amount paid for what we received. This is absolute highway robbery. This is a racket. The ratio of rice to fish (approximately 95/5) in a simple tuna roll was absolutely atrocious. Here’s their version of a spicy tuna roll: six mini pieces of a tuna roll (approximately 1/2-inch tall each) with a dab of mayo on top each piece, with a thin strip of sriracha sauce on the plate. It was like this with all the rolls we ordered. I felt like I was getting sushi from Walmart. It was so incredibly lazy and lousy in effort. They really ought to be ashamed at themselves for that meal.
The service was less than fine. The wait was quite long to be served or checked on. Multiple requests were missed. No utensils on the table. Did I mention I have two small kids? Yeah, no utensils or cups with lids were offered even though they had the items on hand. They also did not offer the kids the “kids chopsticks”. Still no utensils at this point when we finally got our food. We had to request the items multiple times. Again, this level of inattention to detail at this price is unacceptable.
This is not good sushi. Just because it’s cold fish does not mean it’s quality fish. I should have left when I saw the color of the tuna and salmon. This is not a place that specializes in the art of creating quality sushi. This is a place that specializes in the art of selling sushi.
I would stay away. I will try other sushi...
Read more7 friends and I dined here on a Saturday night. We all enjoyed the food. I particularly liked the Pablo Escolar, Big K'Tuna, and Tropic Thunder rolls. The lower rating is due to the service. Perhaps the waitress was simply inexperienced, but on an uncrowded evening she appeared quite disorganized. For instance, the food for members of our party that did not want rolls arrived over 20 minutes before the rest. When she dropped the earlier meals off she must have realized this was not a good idea. She asked if it was okay that these came out so early. That is quite a rhetorical question since, all that would happen if we said no is the food would go sit under a hot lamp. Secondly, we had to ask repeatedly for silverware for the non roll items (soups, salads, chicken dishes), and eventually just gave up on asking for the salad utensils. Third- she could not remember who ordered what, or else was simply too lazy to bring plates to the proper person. Even though we were at a table in the middle of restaurant and not a booth we had to hand plates to each other and sort out what was what ourselves. Splitting the check also proved challenging even though she offered to do separate tickets at the start. Overall, nothing terrible and it was still a good meal. The service is just not what would be expected...
