Recommend: pepper chicken, shrimp masala Good: chicken coconut korma curry, naan/garlic naan Ok: lamb curry, vegetable pakora, mango lassi Meh: samosa, chicken pakora
Satisfying but not amazing.
I really enjoyed the shrimp masala and pepper chicken. The spice level was very different when we ordered in and when we got take out. On takeout they had very spicy and very very spicy but it wasn't offered during dine in. Whatever is added to make the food spicy also makes it much more sour. The higher spice levels were pretty unpleasantly sour. I would probably not go above spicy level of spicy (vs very spicy or very very spicy) because the food gets so sour. I will say they are able to accommodate very low spice tolerances in addition to very very spicy so you'll be able to find the right amount of spicy for you.
Coconut korma was very sweet.
The samosas were super greasy, and the chicken pakora was dry and tasteless.
Mango lassi is overly sweet but otherwise not terrible.
As always the review is based on food only but the dine in service is really really slow. We easily waited half an hour after being seated for a server to ask for our order.
They don't offer any bonuses for rating well so the ratings aren't padded that way but they do ask you to vote for them...
Read moreWe really liked Mumbai House and I think it’s the best Indian Food we’ve had in Utah! The flavors were on point. We had their Mumbai Chicken Masala and ordered it very spicy. The spiciness was perfect, the flavors was delicious and the chicken was done perfectly. We had it with the garlic butter naan bread and the naan is some of the best I’ve had. It was cooked perfectly, not all greasy and sloppy/droopy. It had a light crisp to it and was very flavorful.
I always love a good samosa and order them every time we try a new Indian restaurant. They surprised me as well. Delicious and done just right.
Just found this place and apparently they’ve got a location in Salt Lake City as well so we’ll be going again. Hope it’s just as good as the one in Park City.
We brought our pups with us to dinner and they’re not service dogs so we had to sit on the patio on a chilly evening for dinner. Their host went out of his way to make us comfortable and was looking everywhere for some propane to get a heater going for us. Unfortunately, we never did get he heater and he apologized profusely. I was impressed with the service overall and how hard he was trying to make us comfortable.
Great dinner,...
Read moreI’m excited to share my new favorite Indian restaurant in Utah: Mumbai House. My wife and I were in Park City for the evening, and after much research, we decided to give this place a try. What a pleasant surprise it turned out to be!
We started with one of our favorite appetizers, samosas. As expected, they were served with mint chutney and tamarind chutney. The mint chutney was bursting with flavor, and I loved how well-seasoned it was. The tamarind chutney stole my heart with its thicker texture compared to other restaurants in the state. The samosas were perfectly crispy on the outside and full of delicious flavor.
For our main course, we shared a medium-spice chicken tikka masala. The sauce was rich, and the chicken was juicy and tender. It paired wonderfully with the other star of the show: the Naan bread, especially the onion naan. What a game changer! We love garlic naan—which we ordered—but the onion naan was truly special.
The staff at Mumbai House are incredibly attentive and friendly. I enjoyed talking to every employee who came to our table.
This was the first of many times we’ll be eating at...
