I stayed at the Motel 6 next door to this restaurant for an extended amount of time on business. For four days, I walked over every day and had lunch. I ordered their chilli cheese fries. The fries were good and because of the way I ordered them they totaled $4.88. With a drink refill the total came to $5.88. Although, the prices are outrageous, I didn't mind it because the food was good. Anyway, on what was to be my last day at the Motel, I decided to go have lunch since I'd have to wait for my transportation for longer than I thought. They have sports on the television, serve alcohol and so I thought waiting there while I ate wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong. A man who cleans the tables approached me while I sipped my water and stated, "You've been here longer than necessary. You need to leave. If the boss was here he would have made you leave already since you've been here all day." I was floored. First all, I walked into the restaurant around 2:15pm. It took at least ten minutes to get my order and that's not including the time it took to eat. When he approached me, it was almost three o'clock. Actually, when I checked the time on my cellphone it was 2:57pm. Then to top it off, he scolded me about water cups being for only water. To which, I replied honestly, "I only got water." I was shocked at his behaviour. He then reiterated by saying, "You need to leave now." I was humiliated by this lack of respect and treatment. Another customer sitting a couple tables away was listening to my ill-treatment and heard the entire exchange. I spent quite a bit of money in that restaurant during my stay at the Motel and was being treated like a lowly vagabond. To make matters worse (for dining's sake), I ended up having to stay again at Motel 6 for business three days later. I travel back and forth a lot because I'm an author. Although, the treatment I received was abysmal, I figured it wouldn't hurt to quickly go over to get a take away order since the food had done nothing wrong. Well, I was wrong again. I ordered chilli cheese (they were a staple because they were delicious and I knew what the price was) and a large drink. To my shock I paid way more than the $8.88 I expected (a large drink is $3). I should have complained then, but I didn't. I didn't want to be there any longer, for fear the rude busboy/bus-transient would appear. So, I took my order and left as soon as possible. That night I suffered from violent food poisoning. I guess the ground beef wasn't cooked properly in the chilli. This is unacceptable. First rude treatment, then food poisoning. Two...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I would like to say the manager there was very disrespectful. I don’t know if he was a manager or just an employee but the fact that he question that we didn’t like cheese on her hamburger first all she’s lactose she would never say cheese secondly is that you would think he would be very kind knowing that the parking lot was empty the whole time we were there it was our first time there very excited to be there too. We spent about $60-$70 combine with our friends food and ours The fact that we got her food, she noticed that there was cheese when she took a first bite. I kindly went to the register and asked him sorry sir, but there’s cheese in her hamburger. He clearly gave us a disturbing answer back saying that that’s what she wanted that’s what she said. Meanwhile, she’s not a confrontation person so so I made it my problem to try to fix this mind you she kept saying no it’s OK. It’s OK. I’ll just eat the fries. I’ll eat the fries like no we all got there and we wanted to enjoy our food. It was just a hamburger. I don’t understand if it was like the hardest thing to make but a hamburger with bun, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, like that’s the cheapest thing that was there he refused to fix it told us to pay for another hamburger at that point I was like OK went back to our table continue to eat. She was kind of tearing up because the fact that he was questioning that she did say she wanted it knowing that she’s lactose we can hear him in the back talking to employees making it seem like we were lying mind you we still ate. He starts talking again over-the-counter saying it’s pretty funny how she’s lactose right but she got a shake. The thing is that that was her boyfriend shake, but we were talking about the shake. We were talking about the meal the hamburger that had cheese in it. There were so many things I wanted to say, but she was very uncomfortable at the time so we just asked if we can get Togo trays We packed up our food and left the whole time he was staring at us shake his head like come on, dude You could be more respectful, knowing that you don’t have customers the whole parking lot was empty. so yeah, first time we’re never going back if anybody read this understand that if I was a manager at a place that looked like it had nobody there we introduced ourselves like oh this is our first time here could’ve been more nicer about it so yeah, this is a rate of a zero stars...
Read moreThe outside with neon lighting is very catchy, and hard for one to pass up and miss from the road,it looks like a live Coral amoungst dead ones around it,glowing where others black, really neat looking. But that's where it ends. The quality of food is lackluster at best, outright bland and dry, food not prepared right. They claim,by their name of Fame:"hamburger mania".Well there is more things on the menu that aren't hamburgers, than are. Thus where does the name fit in relationship yo it's menu.If your name has hamburgers in it it should reflect that.Thats your specialty.Furthermore,it is cheaper to sell hamburgers than most other things on the menu, hamburgers -generally speaking -are small handheld food stuff,in comparison with a larger hogie, submarine sandwiche or other examples of food like burritos and such. But the hamburgers here are relatively small, tasteless and are just as expensive as larger items on menu.If your name is hamburger whatever, then stand out as a hamburger place, like what-a-burger,now they have a hamburger that you need two hands to eat it,all for half the price this place sells them for.Very disappointed for the amount of money I paid.Over $20.00 for taking the edge off my hungry belly.I left still being able to eat more, but time element dictated otherwise.I left disappointed to say the least. At least I got a thrill out of the interior decorating. It is eye catching, but I also want it to be belly...
