UPDATE: First I want to say, my customer service contact, Frank was very helpful, and stayed in contact with me through this process. I think his part of it was good and I wouldn't complain about him. I'm hoping the company entertains researching ISO compliance through free research. If they can follow those procedures, this company will be a 10 star. Because their product is incredible. It's simple, little mistakes in management and process that allow a $3000 high quality piece of furniture to be shipped without all the parts. And then to not have a process to make sure the hardware works properly upon delivery. I will likely shop here again, but i'm hoping they implement some processes to prevent the mistakes. I would say, the blame is on top management for not having processes in place. Frank deserves a raise after dealing with this situation. And I'd wonder how much of a bonus management received in 2024 and how's that helping the company? High quality, definitely. Good communication, definitely. Friendly associates, definitely.... i just had a not so great experience but i'm loving the desk now. I still have to install the lock, but i'm happy I have it.
My goodness. Just look at the stars on this company. They should be ashamed. My issue is a simple lock on a desk. The desk is over $3,000. It's an incredibly high quality and beautiful desk. Ordering was easy and the customer service has been mostly responsive over 3 months. So I have a broken lock, one of the drawer locks is broken and doesn't work and that would lock a whole drawer of files and then another drawer with whatever I might have in there. Since my $3,000 brand new desk arrives broken and had missing pieces, they returned but they were unable to fix the lock and didn't bring an extra one as I had asked. They have now three months later shipped me the wrong lock this lock would need to be drilled into the desk to be working. So my brand new $3,000 desk would need new drill holes made in it. You see the point here? I've been back and forth over 3 months for a lock that's broken on my 3,000 hour desk and I'm absurdly disgusted that it's not resolved overnight in the mail or in person. I even paid extra to have the thing assembled. Extra White glove assembly is not worth it because it's still not fixed it's not assembled properly. It came damaged. Again, granted this is only a lock, it's another unresolved and unacceptable situation from this furniture company. They will talk to you. They will definitely respond to you but they can't seem to get their crap together to fix my $3,000 purchase. Warranty? What the heck does that mean if I can't even get the thing assembled properly from the start? Part of me, the guys assembled it very nicely and very professionally and very well. But again, broken lock still. I will update this review to a five star if they can eventually fix this desk lock. The lock they shipped me is incorrect so I sit here again waiting for my epic beautiful big desk to be fixed and new. Will 30,000 people see this review in the next...
Read moreBuyer beware! We purchased, what we thought was a quality leather recliner from this store. Very expensive piece of furniture. After a little over a year, the leather skin is peeling off. The so called “leather” has an elastic skin on it that begins to peel prematurely. We contacted the store for some help and they transferred us to the manufacture who refused to provide any support whatsoever. I would assume that all Zuri “leather” is made the same way.
Be forewarned this over priced furniture is of low quality and even worse, the store refuses to provide customer support. Never again will I spend a dime with Zuri Furniture. I hope this review helps to prevent the same thing from happening to anyone else
Update everyone: After the unfavorable review, I was contacted by Zuri Furniture inquiring if I would remove the review if they repaired the product defect. Some time passed before they sent me a second email refusing to stand behind the product and that they had changed their mind. I had no idea that during this time they had responded to the review to post that they’ve determined the damage was a result of lack of proper care and cleaning. Interestingly, they determined this WITHOUT EVER ACTUALLY INSPECTING THEIR PRODUCT IN MY HOME.
DON’T TAKE MY WORD, LOOK AT ALL THE OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS ABOUT POOR QUALITY AND SERVICE FROM THIS FURNITURE STORE!!!
I’m providing a warning statement to anyone thinking of purchasing this overpriced cheaply built furniture. The leather like material they use will delaminate in a short time and not only is their customer service and support very poor, they will stoop to the lowest level possible and lie and say anything they can to discredit your claim. All I wanted was a quality piece of furniture for my hard earned money. Instead I got a cheaply made fake leather chair for an inflated cost and when I asked for customer support, the store attempted to blame me, accusing me of not properly maintaining the chair that rarely gets used.
Shame on you Zuri Furniture! You have purchased some very expensive negative advertising! I will share my horrible experience with everyone I know and never again will I spend my hard earned money in your store!
Another update: 9/3/24 I received notification that the complaint made with The Better Business Bureau has been filed in UNANSWERED status for 3 years. Zuri Furniture refused to answer the complaint investigation conducted by the BBB and failure to do so has resulted in further decline for this retailer. Read moreTHE WORST FURNITURE STORE EVER. THIS IS AN UTTER CORPORATE SCAM!! YES, IT IS A SCAM! We went to this particular store and it was nice. The items looked gorgeous. The store was awkwardly quiet though as we were the only customers on most of the visits. Although the items looked good, the price tag was insane. An office chair costed $900. We bought many items and the total price was about $5,000. We placed our order and even confirmed with the designer and we thought everything would be fine BUT a week passed after we placed our order and there was not one single word giving us information about the order's progress. Then we understood that Zuri had COMPLETELY forgotten about our order. We called them and they put us on hold for many hours. After 15 full minutes of lying, they finally admitted that they forgot about the order and they said that we would have to wait for an extra week. After a minor argument, we agreed. On the day that we were supposed to recieve the order, we took a leave from our offices and did not get pay. Then, Zuri came up to us and told us that the order would come after AN ENTIRE 2 WEEKS. My wife ended up losing her month's paycheck. We lost quite a lot of money. After 2 weeks, people came and gave us our 20 boxes of items and left it out front and refused to even take it into the living room or upstairs. They left and we began unpacking the boxes so we could self-install our items. HERE IS THE BIG PROBLEM. All of the items were severely damaged and then we understood that we had received items that were already used by others and we were asked to pay full price. We called Zuri and we spent 5 hours on the phone. After I gave them a firm warning, they admitted that they gave us items that were refurbished and they did it because they forgot about our order so they got some items that were meant to be sold for half the price and they just gave those to us. What do they think? They think that customers are fools. We went to the store to tell the salesmen about the major mistakes and inconveniences and one particular salesman told me to be quiet becaue another cusomer was shopping and we were going to make the customer go away. I ended up telling the other customer about my experience and that customer left and expressed to the Zuri staff how their service was disgusting. One of the salesman started YELLING at us in a very rude fashion and we just left the store. Poor... not even poor... stupid customer service. Also, only 20 boxes arrived. I have to wait for 2 more weeks for my other 16 boxes to arrive. ZURI DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS AND ONLY VALUES MONEY. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE OR YOU WILL SUFFER AS WE DID.
