I travel to this area 2-3 times a year. I have family in the area and I visit with them and work on projects on a home we own. At the end of each day, I am anxious to have some alone time to relax, watch TV, get a good night's sleep. I have stayed at this Residence Inn as well as other extended stay facilities in the area. This Residence Inn is, by far, my preferred choice. This time, my stay was from June 9-16. My rooms were clean and well appointed. The bedroom/bathroom is separate from the rest of the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped with a full sized coffee maker, cook top, microwave, full sized refrigerator (with ice-maker) and dishwasher. Flatware, dishes, and cooking utensils are supplied, as well. It may seem like a small thing, but all sets match. The bed is very comfortable and there are plenty of fluffy pillows. The bathroom area is clean. The vanity is spacious and there are plenty of drawers. This facility has recently undergone some renovations. The only change I noticed in the room was the bedroom closet door but it was a huge improvement. Lightweight doors have been replaced with heavy sliders. They are much easier to use. Although the facility is very close to the freeway, highway noise is minimal. Parking is abundant and the parking lots are well lit and clean. There are several key controlled entries and I was able to park close to a door that was near my room.||||The staff is very friendly and responsive. Breakfast is available, free, every day. There is a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items. I like to take my breakfast back to my room but there is seating available in the dining area. I called to request a ground floor room and I got one.||||Due to continuing Covid restrictions, both the pool and the fitness center were available by reservation only. My schedule didn’t provide a reliable time slot and I was not able to take advantage of either one.||||When I have stayed at this Residence Inn previously, guests were able to indicate when the room needed to be serviced by hanging a provided placard on the door. This time, I was told when I checked in that my room would be serviced after 5 days. It was actually serviced after 6 days so everything was changed out the day before I checked out. In the meantime, I dumped my own trash and went to the front desk to get more coffee packets. I did not need fresh sheets or towels but I would have liked to have more coffee stocked in the room and a trash pick-up midway through my stay would have been good. There is a large desk/work space in the living area. The built-in plugs don’t provide USB ports. There are USB ports available in other plugs in the apartment but it would be convenient to have them in the work space. The television station selection is very limited with WAY more sports stations than anything else. I was glad I was able to record shows from my provider and watch them on my laptop.||||None of these shortcomings would be enough to make me want to stay anywhere else in this area. If you are looking for lodgings with many of the comforts of home, this is a comfortable, clean, safe...

The hotel gave a great impression from the very start - the grounds were beautifully maintained, the reception area was so clean that it might as well have just been built, and the welcome from Kovita at the desk was just what we needed to hear after a long trip from the east coast.
Kovita explained everything we needed to know about the property without sounding like she was just repeating a script and trying to hurry us along, and even sorted us out with an upgrade to a suite when we asked for a bathtub in the room.
The room was immaculate and had everything we might reasonably need - a two-hob electric stove and all the utensils one might reasonably need to make your own meals, a dishwasher, sink, spacious fridge/freezer, a massive TV in the living area and a second smaller - but still sizable - TV in the bedroom, etc. Also, despite being near to a relatively busy road, the noise in the room wasn't even noticeable to us, which is the one thing I was initially worried about!
The free breakfast was about what you'd expect from a complimentary hotel breakfast in terms of variety - sausage, bacon, eggs, muffins and bagels, oatmeal with a range of toppings and a waffle maker alongside fresh fruit, juice and hot drinks. The quality was higher than I'd expect, however, with everything tasting great and not like it was just warmed up in a microwave or day-old or whatever else.
The staff we interacted with - Kovita, Kelvin, Mickey, a lady whose name starts with a D that I sadly forgot because I'm terrible with names (sorry!!) - were all very professional, friendly and quick to fulfil what few needs we had during our stay. The calls we did put in for supplies or service were fulfilled swiftly, with one exception which the desk agent at the time was quick to apologize for and resolve swiftly once I called them back to check up on it. Lady D volunteered some ideas for things to do in the area after a chat one day, and although we'd already done a good number of them, it did provide some ideas for next time too!
The hotel's also in a convenient location for both drivers and those who don't - a lot of major essentials (pharmacies, grocery stores, even department stores and specialist places, and plenty of delightful food/drink options) are all within a 15-ish minute walk of the front door at most.
If and when we have cause to stay in the area again, I see no reason to even look at other hotels - I know that the Residence Inn in Rancho has everything I want...
Read moreWe had an unfortunate medical situation for needing this hotel for us and our three grandsons: 6-1/2, 4-1/2, 2 and scheduled it for two nights, since it was conveniently located near the hospital. The staff listened to what we needed and accommodated every one of our needs (including a ground-floor unit, which was actually for the other guests - you're welcome). We had a late night at the hospital - taking the boys to visit and not returning until midnight - on our second night, which caused us to run late on our checkout day. Again, the hotel helped us, allowing us two extra hours, which was SO appreciated (and needed)! They gave us extra towels for the boys, extra linens for the fold-out couch, and a room we could allow them to play with pull-back cars on the tiled area and a crawling cousin touch the floor, as it was clean enough. They had a full breakfast in the breakfast area, as well as take-out boxes, which really worked for us, as we utilized both. We had promised to take the boys swimming and had to re-schedule several times, and, though having a limited space, the staff accommodated on this as well (the older boys had such a great time with Grandpa in the indoor pool, so thanks again!) The kitchenette made it easy for me to make food in the hotel with the ambiguous hours we had to spend at the hospital (though the description did not mention an oven, and I did not expect one). The room description also said one bathroom, when each of the two bedrooms had its own, including one bathtub, which we really appreciated! My only two negatives (and we worked around them): 1) a lack of electrical outlets where you need them (the tv/dvr box? took both on one wall, the light/clock too both on another); 2) a lack of young kids' TV shows. Disney, Nickelodeon, and even Discovery had inappropriate shows for youngsters in the afternoon and evening - having "jrs." of any of these three would be great, as we do not have NETFLIX, etc. accounts. Overall, we loved our experience at this hotel! It was not the cheapest, but our sanity far outweighed the expense - which turns out not to be much more than two adjoining rooms, which wouldn't have worked out near as well (especially with the savings of cooking instead of eating out). I highly recommend this hotel for any family/group traveling together. If we have a reason to be need a multi-room hotel, you are first on our...
