This is a copy/paste from my Yelp review
This will be a long read, but I'd say pretty informative for those of you wondering about the spice levels.. We got to the restaurant about 8:40PM. Before getting to restaurant doors, there were some tables to eat at and a cornhole game which we played after dinner. It was slow, the cashier, Angeleena was very nice and helpful on recommending our food choice. The place was very clean and tidy. The cooks were on task. There was ample walking space around the tables. (So kid friendly and wheelchair accessible) There were also jumbo sized games on the tables to play which was pretty cool. We had jenga at our table, another game I saw was connect four. The (women's) bathroom really clean and also had a huge mirror in it which I loved. We ordered the #1 meal combo, 2 sliders and fries with their special starz sauce. Cost was about $19 + $2 ($1 charge extra for cheese on the burger). They have Mexican coke to offer along with other beverages in glass or you could choose a fountain soda. Now on to the main event.... I will start this off by saying, do NOT try the reaper if you can't handle heat...if you think you can, try eating anything with a habanero on it, and if you can enjoy that then MAYBE go ahead and try it...also...I wouldn't try the reaper if I knew I had to work the following day...you need some time to recover. My boyfriend took a big bite and ended up feeling dizzy and almost nauseous with how spicy it was...right now it is the next morning and we're still a bit uncomfortable but somewhat functional. (Did I mention there is a release of liability waiver just to try the reaper??) I feel like the reaper is gonna become the next challenge...remember the one chip challenge?? Yeah, someone call Shaquille O'neal to try this burger. Anyway, I enjoy pushing my limits with heat and this was DEFINITELY one of those moments where I did question my choices but after a few more bites and a couple breathers in between, the sandwich was gone. Despite how spicy it was, I was still able to enjoy the actual flavor of the chicken, that was a plus. The fries were fresh and crispy and came with their special stars sauce and the coleslaw on the burger was a perfect flavor, I should've asked for more on the side because it would fall out of the burger every now an then, but it all was really good and tasty. The medium spice was bomb, you get all the flavor and spice without the suffering lol but I think I'd go with the hot next time for my own preference. I'd choose this place over Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes if they were also on every corner...(no I havent tried Angry Chicks) My boyfriend is hard to please when it comes to burger joints like this, but I was able to convince him with the social media photos. He finished up the medium spice level burger, but just that one bite alone he was in pain too, so again, dont take the spice level lightly! I plan to go back and try some other things on the menu. Regardless you'll enjoy this spot no matter which level of spice you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in the area for an appointment and my stomach told me it was about lunchtime, so I did what we do nowadays. I googled "food near me." It worked. I saw this Hot Chicken and was sold.
Made my way over to their shop, walked in and ordered a slider and a strip combo. The slider I got SOS (their highest heat) and the Cali Fire (2nd highest).
The order taker asked if I had been there before and after saying "no" she was kind enough to warn me that they have real heat, and it wasn't a low level like normal places.
Now me being an absolute weirdo pepper head, I told her not to worry and I would be fine.
Spoiler: I was fine.
Although these high levels do pack heat (I did sweat a little bit) and are far higher than a typical "ghost pepper" level at a chain place.
There are hotter things out there.
Now let me warn you, you had better be a pepper head. If you think pepperoni is spicy, or Sriracha is hot, best pick a low, and I mean low, level.
What I was very happy about was the taste. These have a great, fun heat to them, but they also taste great! Their slaw on the slider goes very well with the chicken. I'm not a fan of "chicken-fil-a" style sauces, but theirs is pretty good. The ranch is great, and their fries are also well done.
I really enjoyed my visit and will be back again for sure. I like a hot chicken place that can actually pull off heat without resorting to overzealous extracts, where heat for the sake of heat is the focus and not the flavor.
You will enjoy this place despite what level your heat (read pain) tolerance is!
They also have some games, like shuffleboard, Jenga, and giant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place is clean. The chicken is tasty and spicy. The service was peculiar but pleasant. Stood at the counter for an awkwardly long time with nobody coming to take our order but when they got there, they were pleasant. Glad we werenāt in a hurry. Note that you will be asked for a tip at checkout, but you will receive no service ( stand to order, pickup your food when number called, and buss your own tray ) - I do not recommend tipping unless you are stuffing your own pockets. The chicken is very juicy and cooked to order. The spice level is pretty accurate, Iād say, although I hear the mild has a kick. Medium and hot were both as labeled. The chicken is mostly just hot though. No real depth of flavor to speak of. This is what makes it less enjoyable than competing local offerings. I recommend seeking out other hot chicken places around town. The shining star was actually the fries. Cooked perfectly and spiced just right and the quantity spot on. Other places around town could take a cue from this place regarding the fries. Oddly missing from the menu is a single slider with fries combo. ā this is likely the most popular way to order hot chicken sandwiches. One other notable aspect of the restaurant is that it is frigid inside. Bring a coat or only show up when itās really...
